I'm in the same boat, when we lose power in town, there's only 4 of us on our street so we get taken care of last, they start in areas that get the most homes back with power first.
Maybe a miracle happens, and they get a good snowstorm, plenty of time before you go. I remember going to Bretton one year in January and the cross-country ski area just had icy patches.

That red is just the type of tree it is, it's not a super hard wood so they break easily in high winds, terrible firewood. It's a box elder tree, they're all red like that inside.
