  1. That was the road where I did the appraisal. Quite a few got hit hard there, lucky no casualties.
  2. Takes me a while to adjust, once I do I love winter weather.
  3. That must be the 22.3 inches they got in March then, 45.6 for the whole year, thought it would have been more.
  4. Everyone gave the Bills the AFC title three weeks ago how things change.
  5. Don't think Ray agrees with you but I like when your pessimistic, you do that reverse psychology thing well.
  6. You'll make up for it in the middle of winter.
  7. What year was that huge blizzard in the late 1800's?
  8. Fantastic write up Ray, I'll have to dig into it tomorrow when i have time, just brushed the highlights today.
  9. Same town as now, southern Worcester County, may have to call on Will, I'm sure he remembers those back to back storms in a week in Feb.
  10. I do it monthly, weekly would probably make it a bit easier though, less to take off each time so I see why you do it that way,
  11. I appraised one of the homes that got levelled in Brimfield last year, the owner had quite an amazing story, she barely made it into the basement with her two golden retrievers in time and was scared shitless when it passed over. They ended up with a 10 acre wooded lot looking like a field afterwards. They did get the house rebuilt and lived in a FEMA trailer on their property for a year while they rebuilt. The good news is they planned on cutting down a couple of acres of trees and put up a barn for horses, the tornado did that work for them and the rebuilt home is beautiful.
  12. I probably have the year wrong, I don't have a memory like Wills but I remember it was Feb school vacation and we had a blizzard the first day and a week later, I think the second blizzard was the better of the two. I was dressing to go outside and it's the only time I remember my mother not letting me go out into the blizzard. I was actually pissed at the timing because we had two great storms and didn't get a snow day since we were on school vacation.
  13. Down to 29, gonna loose my mulberry leaves tonight, that's when I the cold season has started.
  14. Down to 37, ran to the store and was surprised how cold it got so quick, almost forgot what cold weather was like.
  15. Two decent blizzards I think in Feb if I have the year right.
  16. A later November early December snow storm would hit the spot. When I was a kid it seemed we always got the first decent storm beginning of December although I remember a couple of Thanksgiving snow storms that cancelled the High School games
  17. Once you got north of Route 20 that's where it all started, my SIL lived south of 20 so it did seep below 20 in Charlton in some areas.
  18. AS much as I love winter weather and would love to 2015 repeat I don't want any part of an ice storm like that, I was lucky in 08, I was at 33 degrees and just wet but I remember I had an appt in Fitchburg about 3-4 days after the event and it was no lights and all I could hear were generators, on the ride up 190 it looked like a bomb went off with the tree damage.
  19. My sister in law in Charlton 5 miles away got slammed and lost power for over a week, we were right on the edge.
  20. I would nix the weeping willow, they're filthy, messy bug ridden trees.
