You think THATS warm? We got a subtropical ridge in the GoM that has us under 83/67 for days and days and grass is foot plus in many areas, wow 50 percent leafout, this is EARLY even for us down in south Tex! Global warming has taken over. I have found places where the grass is TWO FEET tall already!!! My lawn mower is hard to start. Damn that grass grows inches each day!

Its snowing hard and blowing like a hurricane on Palisades https://www.palisadestahoe.com/mountain-information/webcams#tab=palisades And, there's a milder moisture-laden storm gonna smash right into the Palisades come Thursday on thru the upcoming weekend, with tons of wind driven rain below 7500 feet, and 5 feet of heavy wet snow above 7500 feet. The train of moisture-laden storms is like a succession of jets landing right on top of Tahoe, slated to continue right into late March. It's NEVER A DULL MOMENT at Palisades Tahoe.

Palisades has gotten three feet of pow in the past 60 hours! However, a much wetter and MILDER pacific storm is on the horizon, and some models are printing out a dreaded 9500 foot snow level. Which means a tremendous SOAKING all over the mountain, driven by strong winds!

Palisades got 20 inches of dry pow in the past 24 hours, and that WIND is blowing it to heck and back! I wanna go there SO BAD. Mar 1 2018 was very windy, caused a variety of damage, I watched it I was still living there in Dale City at the time.

Wow, snow is supposed to be over in the Palisades, but have a look at the 8200' level platform! https://www.palisadestahoe.com/mountain-information/webcams Its POURING snow again! Would you check out that huge drift that they used the snow blower on earlier! That is a LOT of snow! Check out the Siberian Express webcam! They are up there with a snowcat, I am sure they are trying so hard to dig out the chairs! This is what happens when you get twelve feet of snow in 8 days! Plus that damned wind is blowing upslope, drifting hell out of the very area they are trying so hard to clear! It is dry powdery snow at 11 degrees! I JUST LOVE TO WATCH ALL THAT DEEP SNOW BLOWING AROUND IN A MILKSHAKE FROTH!!!!!!!!

I saw that last night in our western skies down here in Texas!

I remember that storm well, even now. We got 8 inches of snow before the heavy sleet started. Then it went to rain for a few hours, then mixed with sleet then we had snow blowing around on top of an ice layer! I remember we were all at Godwin Middle that night, (it isnt called Godwin anymore) sliding down the ice hill with heavy snow blowing around! We got three additional inches of snow on top of the ice.

Its 87/70 and the sun's out. I have been dragging branches felled by the ICE a month ago lol, and I am HOT AS HECK! Is it too much to ask for a cool front with 15 mph winds and 70/50 weather? NO MORE ice! I dont want winter weather, just cool weather with a 15mph breeze.

We have 30 percent foliage already, it is 84/70 right now, at a time when normal HIGHS in Buda are 66, the DEWPOINT is 70 lol

What's six mere feet of snow to Palisades? They just break out the 'ole rotary blower! The webcams are patently ridiculous! Snow is up to the left bottom of the Siberian Express, and the chair there is BURIED in snow! They have five to six feet of snow on the 8200' level platform! They get 2-3 days' break then another storm smashes down on Tahoe with another 3-4 feet of snow!

You're NO wannabe. Thats an excellent forecast!

This is how they plow snow in the Sierran Cordillera. THIS IS HOW WE DO IT, lol Crank up those speakers!

Palisades is shut down. Blizzard conditions with 12 degree weather along with winds 50-60mph and heavy snow has pretty much demolished the resort. ANOTHER 2-3 feet are expected thru Wed morning. Avalanche danger is high. They might have to interlodge, like Alta Utah does. There's a 5-6 foot drift on the 8200' level platform. Its gonna get bigger. Don't look now but another snow assault will crush the Palisades again come Saturday thru the following Wednesday. They picked up ~39 inches just overnight. https://www.palisadestahoe.com/mountain-information/webcams They'll eclipse the 16-17 winter when they picked up 707 inches of snow. They have about 505 inches snow, and counting in continuing heavy snow. Mammoth Lakes will probably end up with ~1200 inches on their avalanched season. This is getting to be kind of like The Day After Tomorrow.
