  1. I know what you mean. I'm down in Buda, about 20 mi south of AUS along I 35. I might have to dive into our pool here to stay cool lmao. Water temp is about ~43 degrees. Right about comfortable.
  2. CONGRATULATIONS on the snow! This, is only the beginning...........
  3. One of these days Will, I am gonna visit the Keweenaw Peninsula in the winter. I'll be so damn overjoyed, I'll have a massive heart attack ---- but I will die HAPPY.
  4. Congrats to those who get to savor an early season kick ass snowstorm.
  5. That is such a shweet radar presentation, that I wish this thing could grow, stay all snow and stall for a few days over your region. I can't even begin to imagine, what torrential wet dendrites look like when they are blasted past brilliant streetlights by winds gusting to 45 mph.
  6. This is going to be a truly enjoyable night for you and many others! Enjoy this to the full!!
  7. Hell YEAH it is! I am loving the radar presentation, the posts and the AFDs! Enjoy! I'll probably stay up tonight watching this and I am south of AUS in Texas.
  8. Hope you guys in ChiTown get pasted pretty good tonight.
  9. Ginx I saw in someone's sig above about how you think the Northeast is on the verge of another special winter. Well, YOU ARE ON THE VERGE OF ANOTHER SPECIAL WINTER. This is going to be one of the severest winters in the past 200 years for the entirety of the Mid Atlantic and the Northeast. Everything is definitely lining up. Remember the recent winter when Boston got 100 inches plus of snow? That was a walk in Central Park, in May on a calm sunny day. Its going to be coastal snow after coastal snow after coastal snow after coastal snow after coastal snow this winter. These snows will ravage and savage the Eastern Seaboard from North Carolina up to Nova Scotia. Get lots of Jebman Shovels, ice melter and snowblowers. Stock up on lots of stout and grub. This is going to be THAT kind of a special winter. Get a helmet, gonna be lots of falling ice off of buildings.
  10. Very late this month or in early December, the Mid Atlantic will get annihilated by an unusual snowstorm that will be worsened by anomalous blocking. It will be a Miller A snowstorm, that will come up the coast and it will dump prodigious amounts of snow on Washington DC. The anomalous blocking may slow the storm down, prolonging the snowfall. It will then turn very very very cold. This cold will SERIOUSLY hamper snow clearing efforts. This snowstorm may only be the 1st in a series of snows for the Mid Atlantic. You are going to get snows in clusters throughout this winter, in the Mid Atlantic and in the Northeast. Things are really starting to line up. This is going to be one of the very worst winters in Mid Atlantic history. You might want to stock up some. Many of you living in the Mid Atlantic region enjoy snow, but this winter will develop ongoing snow conditions in the Washington DC Metropolitan Region that will reach and then greatly surpass fascination levels. It will frankly become frightening for some. It has been very chilly even down here in the Austin area. We just had a mild cool frontal passage that kept highs down here today in the mid 40s. Our normal high here is 67. This is becoming a kind of repeating refrain down here. In terms of our climatology here in south central Texas, we will probably see a pretty bad winter as well (by south central Texas standards). Here where I now live, ICE is the main problem in the more notable winters. If we get too much ice, power will be out for many days.
  11. You all are gonna get the best all winter. This is going to be one of the very best snowy winters in memory. Things are lining up. Lots of factors involved, but from now on, weather lovers are gonna get a treat, and it will only get more jaw dropping every year. Might have to do away with mods lol. J/K, about the mods, not the incredible weather.
  12. Thanks! How much did YOU get in Berryville? Man if I was up there I'd be enjoying a nice leisurely jebwalk in CharlesTown. I never really got into the gambling but I REALLY LOVED the snow! When you guys get smashed this hard by snow this early, you know what's gonna happen this winter! The entire Mid Atlantic will get totally annihilated by incredibly deep snows. It will be relentless and it will show no quarter, no mercy at all, until May 2019.
  13. You'll reach 800 percent by Feb 15 2019.
  14. Anyone know how much snow is on Rt 9? At CharlesTown West VA? YOU BETCHA you have an epic winter incoming!
  15. WxWeather007, I expect to see you back on Nov 27, right on schedule. I may be in S TX now but I STILL expect to see you on this board in your old role on Nov 27.
  16. You'll get it back soon enough, and then some!
  17. I will always pull hard for heavy snows and Vodka Cold in the Mid Atlantic, as long as I live! You guys are gonna get obliterated this winter! You'll all be BEGGING me to make a trip up there, to help get you dug out of the deep snow!
  18. My late Dad passed in mid June. Most of my family lives down here in Texas, so I moved here on Aug 26. Now I live here, but I might try to come back since I do have some friends up in Dale City lol. You do know why this is going to be such an EPIC winter in the Mid Atlantic. Its because I am out of state. You'll get record snows. Enjoy!
  19. I am pulling for the Mid Atlantic to get obliterated by this winter storm! It is going to be winter storm after winter storm after winter storm after winter storm. This is going to be one of the most EPIC winters in recorded history in the Washington DC Region, the Winter of 2018-2019. Head straight for Rt 9 and keep on going west, into Berkeley County in West Virginia. If I were in the region, thats where I'd go. In other news, Buda TX had a high of 42 degrees yesterday Nov 13, under sunny skies then last night we fell to a frigid 19 degrees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Something is definitely up with the weather. Buda TX's normal LOW is 51 degrees. Thats over 30 degrees below normal for us. Even in Dale City, a low of 19 degrees would be very remarkable at this time of year. All hell is about to break loose this winter, unlike anything we have ever before experienced. If you think that is hyperbole, then just remember this past summer in the Mid Atlantic.
  20. Congrats everyone. Winter is just getting started in the Mid Atlantic. Head to Rt 9 tomorrow, its gonna be a great drive up there, plenty of snow!
  21. I can't believe this. I'm in south TX. Its November. Its snowing to my west, and NWS claims it WILL hit Austin overnight. Should I just go to bed? (It does NOT snow in south central Texas), or should I stay up like a misplaced snow weenie? It's 33 degrees here with 27 degree dewpoints and north winds gusting to 33 mph.
  22. You're gonna get your blizzards. You are going to get so much snow you will wish you moved to Austin, lol. This Nino will supply ridiculous amounts of moisture to snow setups in the Mid Atlantic which will be one of the greatest reasons, among others, that Washington DC will have unbelievable amounts of snow this winter. You remember what happened this past summer with the rains. It will happen this winter with the snows. Even down here in Austin i think I might see a coating of snow on the ground at some point. This upcoming winter is going to be beyond fabulous. beyond epic, especially in the Mid Atlantic.
  23. It is only a matter of time before these lows hitting the Mid Atlantic are snow instead of cold rain. This winter will be a record snow winter for Washington DC and the greater Mid Atlantic. All hell is going to break loose this winter. Get your ice melter, Jebman Shovels and several backup snowblowers. Don't forget the snowshoes. You're gonna need em in the Mid Atlantic this winter. It will be frigid cold, super snowy and absolutely unrelenting. Washington DC will have a White Christmas, with over a foot of snow on the ground. THIS Christmas. And NO, Leesburg04, you will NOT be fringed this winter. Leesburg will be extremely HARD HIT by deep snow this winter. You will be sick and tired of digging snow by Jan 15 2019. You will be crying for the Jebman to come up from Texas, to come dig you all out lmao.
