    Sounds like an ideal location, all things considered. Below are my two station’s anemometer locations on the house. My parent’s roof I’m not a fan of going on. Here’s my parent’s house, probably around 40’ No trees nearby & get good readings due to it. My house around 32’. Trees to my NE hinder good readings when leaves are out.

    Has to be on a roof with no trees nearby, if not, then on a nicely sited pole I would imagine. He gets great wind obs in storms.

    My highest gust was 33 in Muttontown & 32 in Syosset. 1.52" in Muttontown & 1.84" in Syosset.

    Been having that on and off here in Syosset at times with a temp of 37.8

    Yeah it’s a paste bomb for them. N winds with the BL at +1 at 54 then goes to 0 at 60 with ok VVs. Upper levels are frozen through that time though.

    NAM Fous says congrats Boston, maybe 10” or so of snow for them.

    1.86” in Syosset with highest wind gust of 39 mph from storm.

    Just the Pine trees at this point, assuming soil is saturated to allow for it to happen at all.

    I only had 1.17" in Syosset. You cashed in on the rain.

    21.7 in Muttontown & 22.6 in Syosset for the morning low.

    Upton has been too warm on nights where there’s good radiational cooling. I had lows of 29.5 in Muttontown & 30.1 in Syosset this morning. I recall last night’s forecast was 35 for morning low.

    I had 47 mph in Muttontown and 45 mph in Syosset for highest wind gusts.

    69 in Syosset already.

    36 mph for gusts at both my wx stations, Muttontown @ 10:10 & Syosset @ 10:20 am.

    Yeah OKX dropped the ball on that one. Even commented on their freeze warning post on FB that upper 20s would happen in Nassau.

    28.1 in Muttontown & 29.4 in Syosset for the morning lows.

    I have sleet mixing in with rain here in Syosset with temp of 38.

    DPs of 60-65 aren't pleasantly cool. A/C is on for that reason plus it's 69 at both my weather stations in Nassau County currently.

    I’m sure the pool at 82 nearby doesn’t help, but can’t win all the radiation cooling days, haha.

    Morning low of 36.1 in Muttontown & 36.7 in Syosset. Had frost on cars & rooftops in Syosset.
