  1. .36 thru the tipper, .36 and three Japanese beetles in the Stratus.
  2. It was too far south for me, hopefully you get something from it.
  3. .19. Haven’t mowed in two weeks, and it’ll be another week before I even consider it.
  4. The radar here has been more impressive than what’s actually reaching the ground, .11” but there’s a little cell over me now

  7. Parts of Ulster County got nailed last night, the same areas around the Kingston area that was hit with the ice storm, rough year around there. Check out the Hudson Valley Weather Facebook page for photos and reports.
  8. Not commenting on Newark itself, there's enough folks doing that, but I had that problem with my old Vantage Vue, it was very evident on sunny days, but not all sunny days. It tended to happen in the spring more than any other season for some reason. I could never pinpoint the exact conditions when it would happen but when it did there was no doubt when comparing it to my other thermometers and other local readings. The Vue has no FARS but Newark must so its not a direct comparison.

  10. I’m pretty sure I first read about it here, probably a Dendrite post. Here is a link: https://www.purdue.edu/fnr/extension/preparations-to-prevent-southwest-injury/
  11. I had that issue on a sugar maple, about 10 years old at the time, a couple years ago. It’s has since healed over nicely with no apparent lasting issues.
  12. .05 this morning, just enough to mess up my car wash from yesterday…
  13. Always a good read: https://web.archive.org/web/20160817212606/https://www.ohcroo.com/winter_of_1969.cfm
  14. My sons included this as part of the selection in my Robtoberfest Birthday Bash last month. They gone now.
  15. Violently agree, I don’t recall the last time we had that much lightning going on at once. The entire house was getting constantly lit up for a solid 20-30 minutes. Up to .52 on the day.
  16. .46 through the tipper as the storm pulls away now
