getting crushed here...lightning heavy rains and street flooding already -
In the other thread someone notes it's in the low 90's in central Jersey, I'm 75 here-so clearly the front is enhancing the storms

20 degrees cooler here on the CT with East winds 75/71

ahh-I heard loud thunder overnight but no rain here-must have been that storm running about 20 miles north of here.

I've had close to 6 inches of rain here so far in July-if we get another 3-5 we'll be close to 10 on July 9th...crazy

it does interact with a front, but agree, it's a 6-9 hr period of heavy rain for some areas, mainly overnight tonight.

Here in CT, the halloween snow storm of 2011, Irene, Sandy and even Isias were disasters here with regard to power restoration. A Cat 3-4 would take us out for months electricity wise.

Good post and agree-we're not likely to see any restrictions coming back at this point. The main argument here is whether kids need masks in the fall in school (Hopefully not) but that's about it-most have resuming living normal lives which is awesome.
