  1. Agree 100%. Analogs from colder period don't carry as much weight either....

  5. Eastern LI was hit hard-alot of power outages there-makes sense with SE wind off the Ocean nothing to knock it down....

  9. Oh boy-never go with what UI/Eversource says....they are setting the bar high so they can look good when little to nothing happens... Although I give them credit it's a turnaround from storms like Oct 2011 when they said they were "Caught off guard" when you and the other channels were barking for days about it....
  10. I think you woudl need many hrs of gusts to 60 to get widespread power outages in winter March 2010 had it go on for about 10-12 hrs which is what made it so damaging here.
