Even KBUF is bored, the absolute worst pattern. Cold and dry. I would literally take any other pattern then this one. It virtual guarantees Buffalo with a well below normal snowfall season. .LONG TERM /TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/... A cold, dry airmass will be in place through a majority of the Long Term period. Temperatures will be below normal with highs in the 20s and lows in the single digits to teens from Tuesday to Friday. Unfortunately for snow lovers, the best chance for accumulating snow will be closer to Interstate-95 from the Mid- Atlantic region to southern New England as a coastal low develops off the coast. There could still be a widespread snowfall as far north as Western and North Central NY but with the current consensus track amounts would be light.

It depended on what zone you are in. Most of Erie county is in Orange, the outskirts are in yellow. We were in yellow all summer/fall and went to orange 2 weeks ago. According to this the only limitation was 4 people at a table, that's what this data would be based on.

This next storm is pretty intriguing. We will definitely know which model had it right as they are so far apart. GFS still a coastal hugger and really consistent

My 7 year average here is 129". Mainly thanks to 2013-2015 winters. Also doesn't include the 2011-2013 garbage winters. It's probably around 110-115" average here.

I learned something this year. -EPO or bust. The Pacific controls the cold air. Even with a good arctic and a good Atlantic, temps are still marginal at best for snow in early season events. Once you get to Jan/Feb a good Atlantic/Arctic can make it happen, but Nov/Dec/March you need a -EPO.

GFS has been extremely stingy lately. 384 run and no snow is something I have never seen. I miss the 40-50" long range clown maps, even if they never happen.

That's a pretty strong -AO with very little arctic air in the lower 48

Can't wait, the snow will be moodflakes if anything though. We actually match up well against the Steelers, I think we take it.
