  2. Can't believe its Sep. 1st already. Ready for some Bills games, pumpkin spiced latees, and Oktoberfest beers! Looks like Sep has a chance to be a below average month based on the first 10 days
  3. Meteorological Fall starts today, we starting a fall thread or continue this one?
  4. BUF finished at 75.7 for August breaking the record in 2016 by .1 degrees! ROC finished at 73.8 degrees, almost 2 degrees cooler. I believe Lake Eries warm temp kept Buffalo warm overnight and led to the massive difference in temps between locations. Watertown was 71.8
  5. I also have a fear of needles. When I get blood work I have to lay down all the way back in the big blue chair. One time I got blood work sitting down in a chair and passed out and hit my head on the floor. The nurse when I got my 2nd shot diagnosed my condition as her husband and son had the same thing. I forgot the exact verbiage as I never heard it before. But I get dizzy at the sight of a needle and when its in me I pass out 50-60% of the time. So getting the vaccine was a pretty big ordeal for me as well. I looked it up and its a vasovagal reaction.
  6. BUF hit 81, pretty much guarantees the all time August record. Last July was the all time July record and now the all time August record.
  7. We're all here for you Tuggy! You got this! You will be blessed for putting your students first. Big LES event coming your way this winter.
  8. I have to think Buf wettest are Oct-January. Definitely not the summer months with the lake shadow.
  9. Oct-Jan are the wettest months right? I feel like that's the case for all of Upstate with the colder air over the lakes.
  10. Still at 75.8 as of today, going to be close as today is a little cooler.
  11. Join the sauna club with me and sizzleman himself @Syrmax
  12. drinking lots of water is pretty big before and after receiving the vax from my understanding.
  13. I wish I knew how to surf and i would. I could take my drone out and film it over the lake.
  14. Good luck Tug. My friends wife dying at 38 over the weekend really hit me as this Delta variant is no joke.
  15. It didn't feel that warm today but was still 83/71 which is 9 degrees above normal. I think we have a good chance to break the all time August record tomorrow. Normal right now is 77/60, cooler than I thought it would be. We've had such warm August recently that I forgot what normal is.
  16. I really need to do this. I remember people surfing back in Nov 2014 while feet of snow were happening inland.
  17. We're extremely close to finishing out this August as the warmest on record in Buffalo. If it happens, 3 of the warmest on record will have been recorded in just the past 5 years.
  18. I don't cheer for cool weather until Nov 1st. So until then lets keep the sizzle going.
  19. I feel like this summer definitely felt warm, not as warm as last year but certainly not average. June was quite warm and while July was below average its our warmest month on average, and August was a scorcher. While high temps were not overly above average, overnight lows were very high all summer and humidity levels were higher than normal.
  20. Strongest wind gust I've seen in the USA since I've been following weather.
