MECS? I'd say it's approaching HECS levels for I-95 east. Widespread 12-24"+ for all of DE, NJ, NYC, CT, and SNE
It's only Tuesday, if trends continue and holds serve til Thursday just might be time to get excited

There are whispers here of dare I say 1978
'78 definitely eased the pain of a snowless decade.

Boxing Day was a pure Miller A.
January 6/7 1996 was a pure Miller A. While the Boxing Day storm may have grazed the GOM, it really developed off the Atlantic coast. With Miller A storms everyone gets snow and there really isn't much of a screw zone as there are with Miller B storms.

For those of us not so well versed, what does this mean...thanks in advance...
Treat it as what it is, a single run. The ensemble is 51 samples of a single run.

This is the Boxing Day storm and if I'm not mistaken it was a Miller B not a Miller A

Anyone have a good example of a Miller B that worked out for the DC metro? Would be cool to learn more about those situations.
2009/2010 was an epic year for Miller B storms. I think Ji even might have some YT video during that winter.

Awesome trends...do we have to worry about this going too far west now lol?
There are two short waves(sw) that are responsible for this event. Where and when they phase is important, or if they do at all. My biggest concern is that there is no blocking and if the phase is intense it'll wind up hugging the coast and bring mix or all rain.
What I do know weather has no memory so ignore analogs and second what is this years trends. OTS or cutters/apps runners.

That... can't be real, can it?
A map that is 10 days out yeah. Will it verify, probably not. Single digits(+0) is more realistic. The coldest it has ever gotten here was -12F in 1984(?) bucks county.

I went to Princeton Battlefield Park in New Jersey today and it was epic. It was everything I wished it to be. Really surprised how small they are compared to the annual Cicadas.

Friend of mine is a chemical engineer and a few years back decided to grow a few plants in the basement. MY GOD, it smelled like old time weed! You could smell it outside...not sure of his technique but he did it right. Now that his child is getting older he decided to knock it off for the time being but man they should hire hire at one of those growing dispensaries...
It smelled like pine I bet, miss that smell. Once it's legal in PA I'll check out a dispensary

Do you still use the medical program regularly and what is the cost? What do you pay...insurance pays and for how much?
I was never a "pothead" just occasionally on weekends when we could get it. If I remember correctly in my late teens/early 20's (late 80's/early 90's)...there were "nickel bags" ($5)..."dime bags ($10) then 1/8oz bag($20-$25)) and 1/4oz bag ($40).
What some people don't realize even if does become legal....your job will still "piss test" you and if you show up "dirty", you could still get fired.
Weed smelled great back in the late seventies to me d eighties, not so much now. More like skunk roadkill.

Yeah, still seems to be mostly snow. It’s gone back and forth a few times. All of the heavy stuff has been snow. Hope that continues.
Yeah, definitely a surprise for sure. I missed the onslaught this morning, I was completely taken by surprise on how much accumulated this morning.
