Look at that radar blow up over NW NJ/eastern PA. From clear to ripping in an hour. My total for the day is up to 1.43. I just added another 0.8" in the past little bit with that cell, and it looks like more to come. Lots more vivid lightening too.

That line was pretty intense moving through here. Lots of lightening and very loud constant thunder. Two cracks in a row where flash-bang types that had to be within a few hundred feet of the house. Picked up 0.63". Clearing out now.

Pause your video right at the flashes. Clouds looks like a man holding up a staff!

The lightening show is quite spectacular tonight. Our deck faces due north. Been seeing flashes light up the clouds every couple of seconds for the last hour and a half!

2.45" here. I'm not too far from Manda, but I think my total is good per the cocoras maps, as amounts got less as you went up through Lake Mohawk and into central Sussex County. I'm located a little north of the north end of Lake Mohawk. For the record, I'm happy with less. I'd take another inch week from now if nature delivers. But she'll do what she's going to do.

That might be conservative if we get in on that mass of precipitation still training through eastern PA. It's been a while since we've seen a radar this geographically extensive at one time with heavy rainfall rates. 1.55" in the bucket here, but so far I'm missing the heaviest of it.

1.25" Good enough. But more is coming. I'm missing the worst of it for now. Most of the deepest red is going around me. I'm not complaining.

The first round fizzled out before crossing the river. Maybe something will reform north of Allentown. Looks like there is potentially some flooding rains out in the Reading area.

Wonder what will become of that line out in eastern PA. Looks to be well organized at the moment and should have plenty of fuel as it heads north and east.

I figured people up your way were doing well. Been watching radar all afternoon skip off to the north of me by ~25-30 miles and now to the south and east too. I can see the billowing cumulonimbus all around me. It's quite a sight, but not a drop here.

2.13" for today and 4.6" for the last two days (in the 28 hours since 3:30 PM yesterday). Just had another 0.85" including 0.52" in fifteen minutes, along with a couple of close lightning bolts.

Just reached 4" exactly since around 3:30 pm yesterday, including 1.28" since midnight and 1.04" since around 9:30. A nice break now, brightening up. I hope it stays that way for a while.

I'm under that stripe now over North Jersey. Heavy rain and lots of lightening. I've already added 0.84" to yesterday's total, making both days (but still technically less than 24 hours) worth 3.54"

2.74" here last 24 hours. The Cocorahs map has the heavier amounts just to my north and west which adds up because the first round yesterday morning completely missed me but dumped 1.4" in about a half hour one town away. Just noticed that. We actually had some sun early this morning so I was starting to think getting a short hike in. Then poof - the last few radar frames and it's back. Already added 0.04" to the total from above.

Up to 2.27" on the day. Pouring again. I'm going into hour 7 of observable thunder and lightening. I took this photo earlier from the Stop and Shop in Sparta of brightening skies off to the west and ominous storm clouds overhead and to the east. The image is very true to how it actually looked and it was taken around 8:10 PM. The storms won the battle again a short time later.

I'm up to 1.46" on the day. Surprised it's not more, but I'd rather get it pieces, and not 7" at once. The line just keeps re-loading to my south. I've now observed constant thunder and lightening for the past four hours.

In a deluge here. 0.44 here just in the last 20 minutes or so. Looks like the storms are training over the area now which could lead to some serious totals if you stay under that red.

Mom says no power and no phones. Two large branches are down in the yard. I'm heading out that way shortly. 1.4" of rain from the storm - and 0.00 here five miles away.
