Columbia 9:45pm: Temp down nicely to 29.7 after a high of 35.1. Last nite only got down to 31.5 here, so already temp is well-below last nite’s low. Still all snow but more of a “white rain” look with regular flakes mixed in. Measure later but appears to be more than 1/2” and less than 1”. All covered white except street. All in all not much sleet for me at onset. Just a slow drizzly spitting and then gradual transition to snow before the good stuff quickly arrived.

8pm Columbia: 31.7° mod snow. Sidewalks white. Side street whitening. Everything else is white.

Coldest morning yet imby but only by 0.1 degree. Still no teens readings for me this winter.

Had light snow showers overnight but mostly melted by morning. Could still see a bit of snow around the car's windshield wipers when I went out to get newspaper. EDIT: Snowing again at 6:15am Wednesday.

Happy First Day of Winter !!! (arrived 5:02am ET) 7:30am Monday -- Looks like clouds have lowered to the tree line, where fog can now be seen at tree-top level. But not freezing fog, altho temp has recently dipped just slightly to 34.7 from 35.1.

It was an enjoyable 20 mins of parachutes IMBY. Temp up to 32.8, not snowing now.

Mostly wet snow flakes, but some rain/sleet mixed at 8am on east side of Columbia. Temp 32.2.

Hi 33 low 27. A respectable early winter day.

LWX Thursday evening AFD did mention a weak upper level disturbance moving thru but they thought it wouldn’t produce east of mountains, while mentioning possibility of an inch or 2 out west/mountains.
