i drove 340 to head to Winchester--just gorgeous with the mountains and all of the fields with snow. i'm always amazed when i look up and see all the beauty. a high of 31 today, with scattered very light flurries during the day. 28/17 now.

it's doing something because visibility is down, and whatever it is, it's frozen. i ended up with 3.25" which is the most snow i've seen in years (we were in Key West for the January 2022 storm). i like this light where it almost looks like a black and white photo:

almost 3" since i got under the banding. currently mod to heavy snow, and the flakes are reflecting the lights and making it very bright outside. I have been doubting this would happen and i'm happy to say i was wrong.

pretty good snow showers here between 9-10:30 am--a thorough dusting since it was below freezing, and it was accumulating on the roadway as I drove to church. it was really pretty on the back roads and i hope it's the start of more to come later this week. temp is up to 34 from 32 when the wind first picked up.

now freezing rain and sleet. at least it snowed a little.
