Very nice to see that +PNA!!
Even more nice to see a -NAO that lasts more than a week! It's been nearly 10 years that we had a remarkable -NAO of any kind during winter.

We're moving to NW Durham County(edge of the city) and hoping that makes a difference for us. I still remember that event a few years ago where you had snow at your house, I had sleet in Davidson and it was just raining in Huntersville.
Yup. Goes to show how thin that r/s line is sometimes. Always noticed how @NC_hailstorm 's obs always bested mine. I got too envious so how I have to invade his territory.

I'm feeling better about this winter. A change to La Nina will finally switch things up a bit and hopefully our long-departed -NAO will return this season.
Also, come this time next year I'll likely be a few mile further NE in Mt Ulla ! Watch out @NC_hailstorm

We're long due for something good. The last real good pattern I remember was the big -NAO winters 10 years ago.

cant really shake the clouds since the rain.. still quite dampish on the ground.. . mower was spinning out easily in the mushy spots. good thing is the fescue seed i put down a couple weeks ago is coming up nicely, unlike like september when it sat around and baked in the heat for an entire month. wasn't a good grass year.

The security check is just the "I'm not a robot" checkbox. Just checked on desktop and phone and it's working as intended. If your password recovery isn't working then you probably have an old email address with which you registered originally. PM @stormtracker

Welp.. it ended here a little while back and just glad to whiten up the ground some. It was what I suspected it would be - a very wet slush. The lack of HP over the northeast was enough of a clue. Regardless, it was a nice little respite to the afternoon. Here's to a March surprise!

The coastal hasn’t even ramped up yet. It will pivot.
It is! Notice the bit of back-building over the foothills.

Just took a nice Jeb Walk. Moderate snow continues. The sidewalks are kind of slushy, but by and large the streets are just wet. A little frustrating as I’m a street sticking weenie, but the warmish 2m temps and warm soil/pavement temps aren’t helping that. The impending darkness should turn them into a white carpet soon, however.
Congrats! Haven't had a good Jeb walk since Jan '17. Definitely an experience to savor. Enjoy!

CRAZY RATES .. like 2"/hr .. near whiteout .. approaching 10" . No let up in sight!
Just kidding.. still snowing at a moderate, sometime heavy, clip. Grass and cars coated. Roads are fine. 33.1/32 Still nice to watch. Kids enjoying it! Now huddled around the fire.
