Struggled at Unionvale on Saturday. Of course I was crushing it off the tee (usually my weakest part of my game) but struggled with my irons (usually my strongest part of my game). Putted ok.
Just never got into the groove. Signed a 47/42 scorecard. Meh.
The better courses generally set off a horn to stop play. Not positive but I don’t think all courses do which leaves the decision up to the players but sometimes it’s like, “last hole or last shot” mentality which is also based off whether or not it’s raining yet. But we knw lightning can strike without rain. Not everyone does.
Yea. I like the dry heat. When I was in Vegas a few years back it was like 100/40 constantly and it felt good. Yes it was hot but it doesn’t suffocate you like 85/70 can.
I’m around 280-300 depending on a variety of factors. I just don’t use my driver often cuz I hit my 3W more consistently straight in the 250 range and I’m rarely playing off the tips to need the extra yardage anyway.
Duck hooks are usually the result of being too ‘handsy’. Work on getting your weight shifted to the front side and let the hands follow/trail. The body will take care of the hands.
