    That's a good point. During the steak, we had no snow on the ground. If we had, I'm sure a few records might have fallen. TW

    The cold earlier this month was notable due to the duration. I think GSO was aob freezing for around 204 hours straight. However, I think GSO only tied one record low and it wasn’t even during the “streak.” So, a couple record lows in Feb cold make the case for an even colder period yet to come. TW

    Considering our warmups have been pushed back and muted and we saw the GFS performance the last few days, then next week is certainly worth keeping an eye on. HP over the lakes and LP off the southeast coast. It makes more sense than the one we just had. TW

    First, thanks for your work on the board. I truly enjoy all that goes on here.

    Second, I would like to ask that you remove the thread I started about JB's winter forecast revision. Unfortunately, it has turned quite negative which was not my intent. I think the overall good nature of the southeast thread would be better served if it were removed.

    Yep. Know where it is. Used to love driving Henderson road when I was younger (20 years ago). I live in Colfax just off bunker hill. My home and property is in a low area so the cold air really drains here when it is clear and calm. Typically 5-7 below GSO. Has been as much as 10 less.
