  1. I ended up with a low of 36 here early yesterday morning and had noticed the Frost Advisory had been expanded right to the city line some time later Friday night or early Saturday morning. It did rebound to a high of 61 though. This morning the low was a bit warmer at 46 and it's currently 53 and overcast with some sprinkles. The dews had been in the upper 30s and low 40s yesterday so it's slowly moistening up and moving to the mid-upper 40s.
  2. Seeing all sorts of wind damage reports coming through in Berks, Chesco, Delco, and Montco. Temp is down to 53 here now with light rain and breezes (although the earlier winds, that were like a gust front, have lightened up a bit for the moment).
  3. Now up to 1.69" of rain and the back edge with some gusty NNW winds, is starting to move through. Temp is down to 57.
  4. Under a gully washer at the moment as a heavy band is coming through. Currently up to 1.61" and rising. Temp is 61.
  5. Started getting the rain here just after noon today and the rates have steadily increased throughout the afternoon. Currently up to 0.90" at post time with varying rates from about 1/3rd to 3/4"/hr, but with the heaviest sustained rain occurring now. This is the highest rainfall total here (so far) since 8/14 believe it or not (when I had 1.03"). High today was 64 after a low of 49 and the current temp is 60 with heavy rain.
  6. Bottomed out at 43 with dews in the lower 30s, which was the coldest low since May 15th here. Currently clear and 56.
  7. After yesterday's midnight high of 75 (that did in fact end up being the day's high), the temp stayed pretty much @60 most of the day and slowly recovered overnight to 62. Ended up with 0.28" of rain through the day. Received 0.01" of additional rain early this morning with a low of 58. Current temp is 68 and partly cloudy.
  8. Ended up with a high of 91 yesterday and I expect the 75 I had at midnight may be my high for today. Light (measurable) rain started here around 4 am and have 0.09" so far at post time. Currently 59 with light rain.
  9. Saw the 2nd one this season (believe it or not) yesterday on my back screen door. Yesterday had an 81/63 high/low but managed to hit 90 here before noon today (after a 69 low and steamed-up windows). Didn't expect to hit 90 after missing it the last couple times it was forecast. Currently 91 and mostly sunny.
  10. Had some rockin' and rollin' overnight between 10:15 pm - 11:15 pm that woke me up. There was almost continuous lightning (not as much thunder though) and got 0.13" of rain. Had a low of 61 and high of 83 yesterday and it's currently 69 and clear.
  11. Was a little chillier here this morning than expected (58) but made it up to 82 before the front started coming through. Managed to eek out 0.05" of rain from the band that blew through here. Temp is currently down to 67, with the sky is clearing, and partly sunny.
  12. Made it up to 88 here today after a low of 68 this morning. Had much more cloud cover today than previous days. The humidity/dp did start dropping after 3:30 pm though so it's not bad out. Currently 84 and mostly cloudy.
  13. Made it up to 82 here yesterday after a low of 55. Have pretty much topped out at 86 here now after a "warmer" low of 60 but the big difference between today and yesterday is the humidity. The dews have been running in the mid - upper 60s and you can feel it. Currently down to 85 at the moment and mostly sunny.
  14. Made it to a high of 75 yesterday and did watch the ISS flyover last night (which was for an extended time - i.e., several minutes flying overhead). There was a very thin deck of cirrostratus, but that did not affect the viewing. Meanwhile the heat is coming (maybe the last gasp of mid-upper 80s or higher, but we'll see). After a "warmer" low of 55 this morning, it is currently 68 and mostly sunny, with a mix of cumulus and cirrus.
  15. Bottomed out this morning at 50. The ISS overflight last night was great with few if any clouds (looked like there may have been some cirrus here and there). Another opportunity tonight (about an hour earlier - just before 8 pm now) so looking forward to that. Every once in a while I check the flyover schedule so it's not like it is a major event to see these, even during the day, but with all the overcast and rain the past year, it's often been hard to catch one under ideal viewing conditions and at a good angle. Am currently up to 59 and clear.
  16. You can track some hurricanes in the interim.
  17. Made it to 71 yesterday (but not until late in the day) after a low of 54. This morning was a whole other story where I bottomed out at 50. The dews are also in the low - mid 40s here. Currently slowly on the way back up with a temp of 52, and clear.
  18. The locusts have those longish strands with tiny leaves on each side and the tiny leaves will start yellowing in the fall before dropping. I was surprised to see some of the street tree locusts around here with clusters of yellowing leaves scattered throughout the canopy. The magnolias have gotten their fall coloration (purplish). Not seeing any maples coloring up yet though (they are the true harbingers of fall)!
  19. Had a pleasant high of 76 yesterday after a low of 58 but this morning's low of 54 was fall's clarion call telling the plants to get ready (already seeing some trees turn color including some of the thornless honey locust trees)! Amazing after over a year of above normal rain, that we have finally hit a bit of a dry (in a relative sense) spell. Currently 57 and clear.
  20. Ended up with a high of 81 yesterday after a low of 65 and 0.09" of rain from ~2:00 am.... and with the front, the dews finally dropped down into the low 50s by the late afternoon. Today is a different story with the temp already having hit 83 and dews in the low 60s, so you can feel the humidity a bit more. Currently clouding up and temp down to 82. I noticed that KDIX, KDOX, and TPHL are all offline at the moment.
  21. I ended up with a few more late showers overnight giving me a total of 0.27" yesterday. Had some more scattered showers just after midnight for another 0.04" for today (so far). Ended up just hitting 70 today for a high around 4:30 pm after a low of 60. It was overcast and breezy most of the day although the sun was trying to break out earlier this afternoon giving me that 70 high but then it got obscured again. Currently 68 and overcast.
  22. It dropped my temp down to 73 and I ended up with 0.25" of rain (it was a relatively fast-moving line). Look forward to putting the oven on tomorrow (have been avoiding using the oven most of the summer)!
  23. Have been fringed or entirely missed the past couple storms until now! High today was 87 after a "low" of 74. Currently 84 and dropping with a gully washer (have 0.18" do far at post time).
  24. That cell was lighting up the sky here but was too far to the south & west of me to get anything from it. This is where it moved when I saw the sky lit up -
  25. Was just looking at that in the Atlantic Hurricane thread. Am hoping that doesn't verify (although the Euro hasn't done that well with 'canes).
