It gave most of central VA’s snow to northeast NC.

My overnight lows have been below freezing on 19 of the last 21 days.

The GFSv16 is being nicer to me that the old PoS GFS.

The GFS has Tuesday’s high in GSO at 68. The NAM has it at 49.

That little light purple pie shape sticking into northern Guilford is right over my house. I’d get 6”, but I’m not sold. Maybe see some flakes at best.

With every run, this doesn't seem to be NC’s storm. Virginia is for lovers losers.

The state line is the rain/snow line.

According to this afternoon’s GFS, the east side of my yard gets 2” of snow. The west side gets ZERO.

I’m not giving up on Thursday’s system quite yet. Monday’s sampling will give us a better idea.

If we’re seeing this trend Monday, then I’ll get nervous. I’ll expect swings all weekend.

12z GFS isn’t looking so good for us southeast folks. Too warm.

Those 12z GFS gradients in Guilford County. LOL. A dusting at best in southwest Guilford and 9” in northeast Guilford. The models are going to volley this storm between NC/SC and VA/MD for the next two or three days.

If the 00z verified, @Grayman wouldn’t have to drive anywhere.

It’s nice to have something to track at hour 168 instead of 384. The constituency consistency is a little spooky. (Autocorrect on a tablet can be annoying.)

00z GFS is definitely a shift south. Don’t tell the northern VA folks.

It sure does. I get 3” out of this, but I prefer a southeast special for the crew.

I think it’ll come back. Gloriously.

Maybe this’ll be one of those storms that gets our hopes up, disappears for a few days, and then comes roaring back three days out. I’m still going to hold out hope for this particular time period. The signal has been hinted at off and on for two weeks.
