I reached a sunny 64 today. Felt like spring. My dog and I serviced my Honda generator in case my in-laws need it this weekend. (I have a whole-house generator.) My dog was actually no help at all without opposable thumbs.

Verbatim, Friday morning would be the appetizer while Saturday morning would be the main course. We’re only serving ice cream though. 00z NAM will be interesting.

Serious question: What are the chances that a lot of Valentine’s deliveries will be messed up for Saturday? My wife pulled the old “oh, don’t bother getting me anything” trick, but I’m not falling for that one. LOL

I’ve been dealing with some scammers trying to get into my AT&T wireless account since yesterday. The emails, texts, and calls are becoming increasingly slick and sophisticated nowadays. I’ve had to reset my password three times in the past day. AT&T’s customer service is so atrocious that they all sound like scammers whether they’re legit or not. My father (a retired Baptist minister) is 88 years old. When I told him about it, he replied, “The dollar you make today: there’s an @sshole staying up late tonight figuring out how to get it.”

I have the sudden urge to play me some Fallout.

My neighbor is having a Generac installed this week. Unfortunately, it’ll be days if not weeks before the mechanical and electrical inspections are done and it’s ready to fire up. It would suck to have an offline generator sitting outside while freezing under a half an inch of ice and no power.

Look out, fellas! The next big winter system to watch for is on Friday Sunday next Wednesday.

00z GFS back to be a little colder for Friday morning.

I took my Stihl chainsaw in to get serviced today. That’s guaranteed to hold off an ice storm for at least another year. Sort of like installing a whole-house generator. Once you drop the big money on one, you never need to use it.

I get where you’re coming from. I sort of have a Professor Chaos streak in me and I tend to enjoy the break in monotony. Both Friday and Sunday are periods to keep an eye on.
