  1. 47 at 10pm Wednesday night and low of 8 the next night the sharp cold edge getting more extreme. Time will tell
  2. I agree could be interesting this thread will blow up more tomorrow night into Monday. After being shafted last time depending on where you were people not getting hopes up. I’m in that same boat a more I’ll believe it when I see more. 10:1 ratios look pretty decent thru a good chunk of the forum region. A potential footer one more good snow and I’ll be happy and ready for spring and severe wx season
  3. Looks like the cold front that will go through us in SE Michigan is showing a 35 degree difference in 24 hours. Quite interesting
  4. Yeah I thought about the potential for wind as well that is a sharp drop in temperature.
  5. I know it’s way out still but the fact it says mid 40s for highs and low to mid teens for lows. That’s a very sharp cold front not going to lie and very intriguing to say the least. This is for DTW area as well for those not familiar with me. That steep gradient has me excited just from an atmospheric science standpoint
  6. I’m curious about the ice threat.. yes a pun on my name
  7. I’ll definitely take some rain. With this warm day my yard is half swamp mind as well make the ogre happy and finish the transformation. Plus get salt off. With DTW luck we will get a good 4 to 6 incher sometime in April to throw us off a bit
  8. It’s a damn shame nothing good on the models much for the southern Great Lakes area in the next couple weeks. But some hope for our friends in Iowa and Wisconsin in the next week possibly?
  9. There are signals for a pattern flip that could potentially bring more systems our way before a more zonal flow develops. We got a nice chunk of time left for some intriguing weather.
  10. I went outside for a few mins this morning to look at the Huron river and the light pillar was pretty gnarly I wish I had time to go down to the river and take a pick. Even with clear sky overhead was pretty cool to see the dust fall
  11. That is our luck just like our sports teams. My boys asked me to buy one but nothing wrong with some elbow grease. On another note do I spy a storm just after Valentine’s Day? I know it’s way way out but interesting nonetheless
  12. I have 2 snowblowers as well my 15 and 12 year old boys
  13. Official at DTW is 8.5 storm total not far off from the 9.2 he measured. Canton is a little NW of the airport so it lines up pretty good
  14. Another nice band from NW OH border to Adrian and Ann Arbor my DTW homies we might squeak out a little more
  15. I know right I don’t mind being on pins and needles due to anticipation it’s all In the fun of the chase
  16. I was going to say we got some decent bands going thru. On top of that the snow drifts are getting pretty good I’m very pleased with todays outcome even tho it’s not the 12” I was eyeing. But yes we do get good 8 to 12s around DTW. One day we will get a big boy and go dayuuum it’s a learning lesson to not always hope for kuchera. Funny that TWC does not have us for any accumulation but clearly around DTW we got 2 with maybe another inch on the way.
  17. It’s a decent light snow I already have an inch and a half of snow. Now that the wind has picked up I got another big snowdrift covering my sidewalk
  18. It’s snowing a little more then I thought today. We will get our fill hopefully in a few weeks then we can look to severe wx season
  19. I seen that hopefully one of those can give us a good 6 to 10 of some real fluff now quickcrete falling from the sky
  20. Amen to that I’ll take some angel dandruff a lot easier to push around. Michigan ave is fine but regular roads are a mess right now. Ran to the Kroger and their lot is frozen was fun to push the cart thru mini mountains. Even the fluff slightly accumulating on Mich ave a little
  21. Low key looks like it’s a slight shift north I’ll take another inch or two of some fluff. My daughter loves the glacier tho lol
  22. Time to call Mdot and have them use their jackhammer on my drive way. Even shoveling last night the slush mess seeped thru the show back onto my sidewalk
  23. Definitely well spoken. I was eyeballing a foot but at least it’s gonna look pretty outside for awhile. But ready for severe storms eh?
