Detroit Nws passing off winter storm watches off to the overnight. I agree that local stations around here downplaying but rightfully so. As I read into it more they did admit that amounts could be well underdone

I seen something on DTW’s forecast that they are calling Thursday a potentially advisory event. I can see they are very skeptical after last time

Looking like almost 50 just after midnight and by the end of the day it drops down to 10. Everything is going to freeze and freeze fast

Even if it’s a lower amount of snow because it ejects off to the NE faster we still can have some wicked winds that could cause issues closer to the closed low

Exactly that’s what has me concerned about the ice portion of the event let alone of winds play out 30 to 50 at times

It’s going to get brutal I’ve been impressed with how cold it will get from it being in the upper 40s to near or below 0 depending on where you live. I hope for less rain cause that will be some serious freezing

Yeah people are apprehensive this time around. I know people are reading but will be more active in the coming days. After GHD III it caused some burnout. Back on topic, I do like the model runs in the last bit. I’d be fine with a 3 to 5 with 40+ mph wind gusts

Almost out of nowhere 2 to 4 incher coming thru DTW today I’ll be happy for it to cover up the current glacier I have as a yard. Who needs to go to Iceland when you got beautiful ice outside your door
