I may regret this but @TimB may I ask why you have started putting laughing emojis on most of @ChescoWx's posts?  I mean, if you just don't like the guy or disagree with some of his general themes, that's fine, but laughing at every post seems a bit much.  Most of the posts are just brief summaries and forecasts that aren't controversial in any way.  As an example, below is his post from last Wednesday, which I believe is the first one you started mocking.  I can't think of a more benign harmless post.  Food for thought. 

"We saw some light rain amounts overnight and this early AM including 0.05" at both Glenmoore and East Nantmeal. Shower chances will continue both today and tomorrow with continued cooler than normal temperatures. Low of 64 and a trace of rain yesterday morning. Let our week of perfect weather begin. 

Low of 66. Had a nice camp fire last night. Rain chances looking pretty minimal for today, then quite dry moving forward. Cool nights and morning dew should keep the grass decent though. 

Just mowed, what a phenomenal day. Time for some libations and grilling. Next week is going to be heavenly.

Low of 59.  Gorgeous today and tomorrow, a touch muggy on Sunday, and then a taste of Fall next week.  Football season is upon us boys, let's go!

Low of 62. Opening night of high school football on Friday looks absolutely perfect.

Low of 71. I’m about to go golfing. Stick a fork in me. Thankfully a major pattern change on the way for tomorrow. 

Low of only 73. Looks like some relief is on the way for the start of the work week. 

Low of 70 with .45" of rain.  Any storms that pop later today should come from the southeast.  Love me some "opposite" storms.  The only guarantee is that Lancaster will be in the bullseye ha.

We sure are but even within Lancaster there are winners and losers.  Also, I'd say there are other swaths of eastern PA that have really been cashing in as well.  Hey, it's late summer, which means you never have to go far to find dry areas.  The madness of summertime convection is what makes it so fun and frustrating ha.

Isolated showers and storms may essentially occur anytime between ~12-7 PM. I think coverage will definitely be greater than the 3k NAM or HRRR models suggest, but the cold front will already be S/E of the LSV this afternoon. A few brief downpours are the main threat..

Very interesting that you posted this because I was just coming here to say that I wasn't expecting this many blotches on the radar near us today, let alone at this hour.

How 'bout.  I'm actually almost 16" ahead of you, although still waiting for my first August precip (hopefully tomorrow).  That 2+ inches I got on July 31, along with some cool nights, have prevented things from looking too bad down my way.  That's not to say the nut grass hasn't taken over my yard, damn pesky stuff.
