    Yeah it must have, but you wouldn't have known that with how it blossomed on the radar right over us. A bit of fool's gold, but still pleased to get some beneficial rains. I'm running pretty much right at average for the year, with 18.24" YTD.

    A lot of rumbles and gutter gushing early this morning but I was a little dismayed to only find .21" in the gauge. Also didn't appear to be much in the way of wind. I must say, for what was an impressive feature on radar, it seemed to underperform on the ground.

    I'm really curious to see how this MCS unfolds late tonight through tomorrow morning. The NAM is still insistent on bringing it right over most of our territory but almost all other guidance keeps the bulk of it just to our southwest. Developing situation.

    Wow good stuff, just .01" here. A low of 65 and currently sitting at 71/69, feels like summer.

    Low of 57 here. Some very nice rains through the early morning hours, looks like a little over a half inch here in the last 24 hours.

    Busted low here with just .28" but there were some hints that may happen. I'll take it. Friday night into Saturday not looking like much of a drenching now either.

    Well would you looksy here, a summer thread has sprung. Not a lot of precip fell here yesterday, only .16" in the gauge. Looks like a good soaking for most tonight and again friday night into saturday. MDT currently running 2.5 above average. National high/low yesterday of 117 and 24 in Rio Grande Village, TX and Albany, WY, respectively. Carry on.

    Some heavier rain early this morning but only to the tune of .13". Still, everything nice and green here. Looking forward to hopefully some action this afternoon and then beautiful relief for the weekend.

    Agreed. I mean, take July for instance, where a huge chunk of the month averages damn near 87 for a high. I'm supposed to get excited about the fact that three days are three degrees above average? Do we have a name for when it hits 40 three days in a row in January haha. All a bit silly in my mind. Threshold needs to be higher.

    But it's all relative, just departures from their own norms, so unless something has changed with the Susky or the Stoga versus the prior few decades, it shouldn't matter. And yes I know that your post was mostly made in jest haha, but I can't help but think about these things. The perils of being a weather junkie.

    MDT ended May with a hefty 6.67" of rain and a temp anomaly 1.9 degrees above average. Looks like some rogue cells around this afternoon before a more widespread threat late tomorrow. Beautiful weekend on tap.

    Not a drop here yesterday, ‘twas gorgeous. Comfy low of 55 and now the real heat builds. EF1 confirmed in southern Lancaster County. Have a great Memorial Day everyone!

    Update: not as much as I would have thought. Added just .16” overnight, for a daily total of .45”. I’ll take it. Low of 62. Should be a mostly glorious Memorial Day weekend.

    You are correct, heard lots of action throughout the night. Unable to check the gauge at the moment, as I am currently stuck on the couch with the toddler watching Blippi. Update forthcoming.
