  1. Did a met just post the hour 366 GFS snowfall map? We really are desperate for anything.
  2. 12z GFS shows how the upcoming pattern could easily disappoint with a cutter where the Epo goes negative and Pna goes positive causing a brief cooldown before southern Canada returns to torching.
  3. I understand these posts upset you but some of here like to be realistically informed about if it will snow, that is why it is always appreciated when @psuhoffman posts IMO. It’s better than Mets who just hype up storms when it’s far more likely they fail.
  4. Euro tries to hit 60 degrees on the 13th after the bulk of the precipitation moves through.
  5. Just accept that we don't snow well here, and that the only time the ensembles really showed a good system was 9 days out, that is way too far out to get invested. If you need to get an app or chrome extension that blocks tropical tidbits, pivotal and amwx. I use one for school that is called stay focused on the chrome store.
  6. Climate change should not be a polarizing topic on a weather board, yet somehow it is.
  7. There is almost no snow anywhere on the backside of the low, it looks like an October or April storm, not one in prime climo.
  8. I like it, maybe that’s the reverse psychology we need.
  9. Don’t know how much I’d trust the NAMs after their past runs always looking pretty different from one another.
  10. Can’t wait to track another storm that looks suppressed and then cuts as soon as we get inside day 7.
  11. If it makes you feel better we don't get blue 540 underneath us for more than 6 hours from hour 120 through the end of its run, in the middle of January. We can't get any digital blue anymore can we.
  12. Would be super nice just to see a dusting or coating of wet snow, hoping we can have an event continue to trend better within 60 hours.
  13. My attitude is that past generations could have handled this whole crisis far better but instead those in power influenced people to vote in politicians that were short sighted and greedy thus delaying any action that would have helped the environment. So I don’t hate the past people for simply existing but I do hate those in power who delayed and persuaded people to act against their best interests. Nuclear power in america is a good example of that, if we constructed plants in the 80s and 90s we could have greatly decreased CO2 produced while keeping living standards up. Instead people were persuaded by groups backed by fossil fuels to oppose nuclear power setting us back in the quest to lower CO2 output
  14. I wouldn’t live a pre industrial life but we’ve known about the climate issue since the 1920s, we’ve had opportunities to switch to more renewable energy sources in the 80s, we wouldn’t need to live a pre industrial life to save the climate but instead recognize that exponential economic growth isn’t a good thing.
  15. At least when it torches in winter it’s nice outside and that will be more common as we go forward so I guess that’s a benefit
  16. Thank you for making these posts, as someone growing up during the past 7 winters it’s nice to see a good post on why it’s been so bad. Ultimately the price we for destroying the environment is large and very evident to see as I grow up, and it’s cool to see how all of that shows up in our snow climo. I guess growing up without semi normal snowfall is just another thing my generation gets to pay for others kicking doing anything about climate change down the road.
  17. But is it a step down from yesterdays GEFS runs?
  18. Don’t doubt the west trend, when all is said and done we will probably be sitting here hoping for an east trend as Buffalo gets another blizzard. Or it’s going to slide off the South Carolina coast, at this point who knows.
  19. Sometimes the advantages of having a drone are pretty clear
  20. And it’s the only one showing snow this weekend so the graph checks out.
