  1. It's because the area got a few consecutive storms that brought snow... But I am betting some parts of Virginia are well about normal
  2. It's currently 16 degrees in Willimantic. There is an observation 4 U!
  3. Kinda sad. We don't have a storm to get excited about and chat for on here. Do you guys hang out like this for Summer Convection events?
  4. You'll probably get a 6 to 12 inch dump in late march or early april. On a few occasions In Reno NV as well as SNE, I would experience a lame ass winter with next to nothing snow... Only to get more snow in one week in April than I got the entire winter just before it. And the Berks are a kind of place that always gets snow in April. Hell I went through there in early May 2020 and the trees were still bare.
  5. As far as the areas I was visiting today in Eastern CT, The snowfall result map looks perfect to me.
  6. We all know not to feed our puppo chocolate. But there are other things. Linked here is a nice list of substances that are toxic to dogs. https://www.aspcapetinsurance.com/resources/what-foods-can-dogs-not-eat/
  7. Im sure theyve had some yes. But another anecdotal bit to support my thought that western areas have been getting screwed more often is a layman I work with pointed out that the reason Coastal SNE has had snowier winters in recent years is because the storms have generally been forming further east than they did between 10 and 20 years ago (The 2000s)
  8. I feel like western New England have gotten a lot less snow in recent years overall… like recent climo has favored eastern and central areas. Is that wrong to think? I mean because northwestern CT has long term climo averages of a TON of snow compared to other parts of the state but they ain’t been getting it.
  9. Final storm total would be 4 inches on the “good” grass. Less on other surfaces. that really was an enjayable storm because big flakes and low wind… snow globe.
  10. Slight flake size increase over my last photo report.
  11. Can you explain why? Is it just to do with fog? In Reno, it almost never snows without dramatic reduction in visibility. And this radar... A while ago it looked like it was about to pull away but then it filled in again to the west!
  12. Have reached over 3 inches now. Coming down heavy, big flakes
  13. No, it's just a residential building but I could strip for you if the real strip club is too far. Not a bad substitution. Ok, maybe a little bit hairy with a flabby butt. But it would only cost you $5. Although I have been told I look like Mr. Bean, I am definitely younger!
  14. Fantastic rural mountainy land. Would be majestic to live there. Historically New Hampshire is known for getting a lot of snow. And I see that is true when I look at average maps. So my question for you is....... On a decent winter... Say one that is 120% to 160% of average for snowfall... How deep is the snowpack there at its height?
  15. I did not change the coloring of these photos. This is actually the new parking lot lamps. I only edited the contrast to show the ruler. Coming down good. In other news… You know the sound the crowd makes when you throw the bowling ball backwards on Nintendo Wii? That is the sound my neighbors are occasionally making.
  16. Wow seems like it. And this is a fun storm. Not much wind so it is just coming straight down like somebody is standing over us dumping it. It is not out of the realm of possibility that where I live there could be 4 to 6 inches total once it is done.
  17. Looks like radar just filled in a whole bunch way west of here.... I am starting to doubt the HRRR and RAP and think they could be too conservative for the extent westward of the reaches of advisory-level snows.
  18. We have a solid 2 inches now. Earlier I said 1.5 inches by eyeball, turned out 1.75 when I measured but it has been snowing steady for over an hour now. Fluff doesnt seem so bad! It is sticking to just about everything, looks magical. Latest RAP and HRRR show us getting around an inch more. before it pulls east.
  19. I mean... The radar is looking decent, right?
  20. Compared to an hour ago, snow has started picking up here. Radar improving. You and I might be the boundary between tonight's haves and have nots, but we wont be in the bullseye.
  21. That's kind of what I am asking. There isnt heavy participation on these boards for this event. Honestly it looks like Windsor is probably going to be too far west for the additional snows that will hit Extreme E CT, RI and E MASS later if you believe the HRRR and RAP. Here In WILLI I will be excited if we manage to get another inch or two.
  22. Boo, I am right along the cutoff. Includes us for an inch or two if we are lucky. Maybe it will backbuild better.
  23. Actually not fully sure if it is done... With said regeneration seeming to be in place just east of me where bands are oriented SW to NE. Maybe would get clipped by some of this but I have no f'ing clue. I actually saw a few blossoms pop up over Windham county proper that just missed us in the SW corner of the county
  24. Looks like about 1.5 to 2 inches from eyeballing. I am ashamed I missed the snow as it was falling becauze I slept until nearly 1pm
  25. You shan't make fun of my excitement of this fantastic development of potent snow storm.
