    So much for the start of beautiful weather. Raining. Good thing we had a great first half of summer, because this second half sucks.

    Looks like an extended cool period coming.

    Rooting for hyperactive seasons is weird considering the increased risks for death if the storm hits land.

    Why do you want storms? They are destructive. Seems we should be embracing a quiet season, if we end up with one. Side note, I am heading New Orleans in early September, so I am welcoming a slow season. I have been checking this forum to see what may be going on as September approaches.

    Looks like, right now there is nearly perfect weather for the end of this week into the weekend. Low humidity, sunny and highs on either side of 80, and some lows maybe in the 50s. After this extended period of humid weather, I can't wait.

    I am. Area wide there was no widespread rain, at least yet.

    No real rain, which was a surprise. I expected all day rain. Just weird weather.

    Just barely in there. Meanwhile early not too far away either. Really that looks like average I'd guess.

    Don't care either way, but yeah, looks like 88 again.

    Have made it to 88 so far. Depending on how long storms hold off might get to 90.

    Never, lol. The potential for 3" is a surprise to me. Heard that this morning and couldn't believe it. Really hope that doesn't happen.

    That infamous 89 is looking very probable today, lol. Edit: Or 88. Been stuck there for nearly 3 hours, with mostly sunny skies and SW winds. Incredible stuff really.

    Looks like the later week heat is backing off, much like last week's modeled heat. Maybe some upper 80s and a low 90 possible, is my guess.

    Pretty crappy day out there. Looks and feels more like early Spring or Fall, just a bit warmer.

    Looks like from obs we did hit 90 today.

    Local storm reports from the area I was in yesterday afternoon were for 61 mph wind gusts. I believe it totally. I've never seen wind like that. Kind of scary at times, especially when I was trying to close up a pop-up tent during the pre storm winds.

    89 is looking likely again. Maybe an interhour reading touched 90, but this is really something crazy.

    Of course, lol. HAs hit 88, but dropped back to 87. The temperature gauge out at that airport has to be calibrated wrong.

    Figures, lol. Does anyone think the storms that rolled through yesterday was a Derecho? I was up at my church's festival trying to set up for the night and it was absolutely wild. Tents flying and things bending everywhere. A little scary for a period. Worst storm I've seen in a long time.

    Could get there today if the storms hold off long enough.

    Yeah, Sunday would be my pick day to hit the mark. Just the Pittsburgh oddity rearing up again. Everywhere, literally everywhere around is 90s+ and we struggle to get the upper 80s.
