  1. Was just driving back from a job in Hebron back to Simsbury. Hit a patch of moderate ZR and could already feel icy patches on the road, especially Rt 85
  2. Those July/August furnaces kill us at work. Give me 20 and proper clothing any day!
  3. Yep! Thats why my newest vehicle is a 1983. Also a 1977 and two '75s. I like a vehicle you drive, not fall asleep in!
  4. What was the last really cool summer we had in SNE? I have fond memories of I believe 1996 being a good one. It makes working outdoors so much nicer!
  5. They've fully proven what sheeple we've become in general. Everyone always being afraid of everything, and having very few life skills that used to come standard...my god most of my male friends can't even check their own oil in their cars and drive around on practically flat tires in the winter..I could go on. I still fully believe if this happened 20 years ago and certainly 30 plus it would have been handled totally different.
  6. Yeah F that! They couldn't serve me enough Jack and Gingers to make that OK. Still waiting for the no children flights to be offered...
  7. Right. but it has happened before. 2011 and 2013 I believe, although I don't have Wills memory lol.
  8. LOL!! That's no average weenie! Would be nice, but good luck with that
  9. That must feel good... hope you wear high vis! I've been on a rant lately about SO many around here walking/running in dark clothes. Slimming black doesn't mean crap if you get run over lol
  10. Not even a coating here in Westfield. We'll see if there's any more in Simsbury in a bit. Where's my snow to the pike lol
  11. Started in Simsbury 15 minutes ago and everything has quickly been dusted over 18 degrees
  12. 3 inches here. Not bad, looks like more with 12 already OTG
  13. LOL we never had any problems. Proper winter tires for the win!
  14. Snowing nicely in Westfield. About an inch so far. Roads surprisingly terrible. This modern treatment they use is terrible, makes the roads more slick during the storm. I miss the 70s/80s winter road management!
  15. Love the NAM, or love what it's known to often show? It's well known for it's theatrics
  16. That's what I was just pondering..how much more could it trend with the current setup
  17. Yeah, this stuff is dry as a bone. Accumulating really well here considering the rate of precip
  18. Well I do already have 3 inches at my shop in the valley..didn't expect that this early
  19. 2 inches at the shop in Simsbury...kind of surprised considering the radar. can't wait to see the heavier stuff 19 Degrees
  20. 2" on the nose in Westfield as I was jumping in the truck to head to work
