  1. This is true... its just the thread starters phrasing and extreme exuberance that causes the nails on a chalkboard response to the.... threat
  2. Thats what I've been thinking all along. Except for the usual suspect areas that have large exposure
  3. Well.... he thought he was onto something. I am not going to make an issue of a fellow forum members youth and inexperience
  4. Not just for the 27th, but moving beyond as well. It seems many times we get a storm like this it reshuffles the deck on the OP runs
  5. In my area I really feel we'll have more wind impact from the cold front passage Friday afternoon than anything beforehand
  6. If it were me, I'd leave early. Rain and wind, no problem... but I'm sure you know how long it takes to get treatment on the highways up there. They won't be able to pre treat either with the rain
  7. Hate to say I even looked at it, but the CMC actually went the other way. No more hit on the latest run
  8. Sorry. It's just my personality. The older I get the more the media freaking annoys me. I do appreciate your forecasts and I used to be a weather Watcher for Brad back in the mid 80s. Hell, I still have a Paul Cousins wvit hurricane tracking chart!
  9. I don't buy it for a second, it never happens. This is not meant as a dig against Ryan, but when you work for a media Outlet such as his a little bit of massaging and hyping seems to be a necessity these days
  10. If you're looking for wire to wire pack, it ain't happenin in West Hartford that's for sure! I spent several decades in Granby CT which is world's different snow-wise than West hartford. We rarely saw that even there. If you want any chance of having some kind of fairly consistent wire to wire in this area, you need to get up into like at least the granville/blanford Mass area. And even there, yeah it doesn't happen regularly
  11. What else is new. But yeah.. i guess it's all we got for a while
  12. Yeah, it's still 27 at my shop here in Simsbury
  13. Too early... just use the December thread for now
  14. Mmmmmm, well the word media in any context is tainted beyond belief these days (choice disparaging word omitted) so it could be anyone lol
  15. Absolutely. I'm just curious to see what the guidance does after this next one ends up in Canada. Could the large storm reshuffle the deck?
  16. We were on the Cape in Truro for that one! It was the first time I saw snow at the beach. The forecast originally was for the storm to miss even the Cape. That morning they added an inch or two to the forecast. All day they couldn't keep up and by evening we had 17 inches. It was pretty much the only positive bust I can remember in the 80s
  17. Well someone needs to take the wheel, especially how this place has been the last couple days
