I’m genuinely into it, would it be a good topic to study in school and do as a job? I’ve heard it requires a lot of calculus in College... which I’m ready for!

Being from Central VA, should I just pack up and go home? Our Average is about 10.3”, and I am in no way expecting (I never “expect” anything when it comes to weather, maybe a little lie in there) to pass that, and I doubt we even get close to that. I think i’m just too far south to get in on anything, but I know near nothing about this stuff. If I shall “go home” send me postcards of all your fun snow (white or clear) before it melts! Edit: And perhaps it’s too soon to decide... I just want time out of class once this year, it will give me time to learn Calc before I take it next year. (NEEERRRRDDD!)

May somebody please point me in the direction of a place where I may find past snowfall amounts? Each time I’ve searched I’ve only found record amounts, but I want everything...

Most bad winters we are 10 days away..this one we have no idea...34 days away? 19? I don’t think time is even going the right direction anymore.

There was more MR/LR digital snow a week before Halloween than there is now!

Is most of the forum concentrated in Maryland / DC? I’m assuming so based on all of the excitement / frustration each time one of these storms appears on the models...

My goal is to learn to use the data and know what everything means and what it could (possibly) lead to. A lot of studying ahead of me, but i’m excited.

Earlier there were a few minutes of sleet in Richmond, the chunks seemed bigger than I remember, maybe I just haven’t seen sleet in awhile. Has since ended. Back to boring life until summer I guess... Not counting on anything happening this far south in the near future. I would think you all in Northern VA and north may have a chance at something...

The Radar one shows snow in places where there would be rain on the MSLP map. The Precip Radar map also looks a tad different... maybe smoother? Or less abundant?

So, does this appear to get washed out with rain? I TT isn’t working at the moment, and i just don’t like pivotal for too much... Some of those appear to give the whole area (Including Central[ish] VA some snow, which is nice. It also seems the rain following it (if any) may dry up or collect holes before it reaches this far east(?) I just don’t want it to be washed away because that would be an unfortunate start to a week, (A possibly very busy one!) Fun times ahead!
