  1. There's so much salt and sand and brine on the roads that they wouldn't need to pretreat them even if the storm dropped a foot of ice.
  2. That jayyy dude might not mean it (and I mean *might*), but his posts really don't come off well. Definitely tries the whole big d!ck snow swagger thing and is pretty condescending over all.
  3. The American programmers who enter their own data into the models know our climate better, so they’re able to get results that better reflect reality around here. That’s how it works...right?
  4. No snow on the grass in Burke except for random places that get precisely zero sun.
  5. I’m not even sure the issue was boundary temps in the city. There was simply a N-S gradient to the temps from 2m on up during the best QPF that screwed those of us on the southern edge of the precip. I’m not about all the reaping stuff (sorry, Watcher), but I’ve decided to not get invested in anything else this winter until the precip has started, and even then I’ll be wary of what’s coming (f’ing Correlation Coefficient radar - miserable POS). I’ll track and post, but I vow not to looks for any eggs, let alone put them into any baskets.
  6. A little bit of slush from the early 0.25” of snow from last night has collected on my windshield wipers. That’s what I woke up to. Then I drove I to the city, where wet flakes were falling. Like Bizarro World!
  7. It’s an Arctic 33 degrees and light rain in Burke.
  8. I’m watching the good side of the line approach me, but you’re both bastards.
  9. Thanks, man. I just hate that CC crap.
  10. Waiting for someone to post the correlation coefficient radar to sufficiently depress (some of) us. F that person.
  11. 33 and it’s been a sleet/snow mix in Burke since this last post.
  12. 34 with grass fully whitened and cars officially topped. Very light snow.
  13. Use Pivotal Weather. For some reason, TT isn’t getting or displaying the data feed. Edit: USE PIVOTAL, DAMNIT!
  14. 34 with mulch topped. Starting to whiten the deck.
  15. 40 (!) with a few flakes in Burke.
  16. Annoyed and about to start an hour-and-a-half planning meeting. 3-year old is destroying the house just outside the door. No snow yet.
  17. 40 and cloudy in Burke. Expecting some flurries before mixing, then a little snow on the back end for a grand total of 1.25" of frozen that will mostly be slush or gone by Friday night.
  18. That's when everyone bands together in the evening for a party to bury the dude's car back in. Then you leave the beer cans in the (now yellow) snow around the car.
  19. I'll say this...what an absolute cave to the GFS by the Euro.
