  1. So that is indicative of a SSW causing a weakening and disruption of the PV? I was under the impression that even SSWs that do occur doesn't necessarily displace a lobe of the PV into North America. Sometimes it dislodges it into Asia or Europe.
  2. It's 59 oz. of empathy and understanding. It will never disagree with you and provide comfort and warmth on these not so chilly winters.
  3. It's all fun and games since AGW seems to be bringing milder winters. Wait till we start averaging 35 90F days and 5-10 100F days in the summer.
  4. Yes there is some glitch on my phone especially if I quote a post.
  5. Interesting graphic showing how lame even last winter was for a large portion of the subforum even compared to this year up to this point. Last Feb. southern half of LOT to DTW cashed in to offset those deficits.
  6. Measured 4" here. Considering Schaumburg had 4" and unofficial reports of 8" in Woodstock, gradient must have been steep through my area.
  7. Madison area is MSP 2.0 of the winter season
  8. Not feeling great today but would guesstimate 3" or so out there.
  9. This weekend could be the Zenith for our wintry weather
  10. Will go 3" here. Lake Geneva sweet spot with 6.5"
  11. Not meant to be. Seems short range models and Euro shifting north. Another grass clippings snow.
  12. That band is narrow and my grass tips are exceptionally high this year
  13. Look to cover grass for first time this winter by later today.
  14. Could be tough for ORD to beat them out after this event for the seasonal totals
  15. Still riding 1.5" Might have mood flakes for Sunday Norgi ski jump event.
  16. Despite the outlier NW 12Z GFS track; main snows still stay SE from Central IL over to DTW. As Euro seems fairly locked in will go 1.5" far NW, 2-3" downtown and southside, 5" Kankakee
  17. Southside and downtown may reel something in yet.
  18. Covered the grass. Edit: Grass tips still showing. Maybe 1/2" but more than DAB. Looks like Dec events
