    Especially the folks in the south. They were expecting a historic snowstorm on Monday. Now a lot of them are getting straight up rain.

    I will say this though. After the week long hype about this. If it fails the non weather weenies will tune out for the rest of the winter. Which can be dangerous.

    I'm on it too brother. My son got me a German beer sampler for Christmas. Been drinking one every Thursday and Saturday. Then stacking the whiskey on top. Been really good.

    RGEM tons colder than the NAM heading into the event. That's all I'm going to raje away from it. No use even looking at precip panels.

    We really don't want slower though. We need the precip to come while that confluence is still in the game. But I am not going to lose my shit over a NAM run.

    Onset surface temp of 13 out this way. That is quite a bit warmer than earlier guidance. We basically still have no idea whats going to happen.

    The gfs was doing that with its total fails a couple of days ago. It looks like this is going to cut no matter what. May as well hope for an organized precip bomb to maximize the thump.

    Onset is close enough to use the Meso's for thermals at the start of the storm. I am curious if some of us can start in the single digits at the surface.

    It depends what impresses you about winter storms. I had 8 inches last February that was gone in 12 hours. The extended arctic outbreak that is coming with this one is going to be very impressive. We are going to have glaciers around for a month at least. And we are really just now in our prime snow climo for this area. My gut tells me we will get hit again and have snow on snow.

    Euro is definitely colder up top than the AI. Holds on at 700 quite a bit longer.

    Yep. We need it to jump at the Carolina coast or we are toast on the coastal part. It's becoming all about the thump at this point.

    I dont think you have to worry about that. I think 6+ is a lock for everyone. The cold with this is legit. Gonna take some time to scour it out.

    AI is probably 15 inches out here before the flip. For those out this way. The sleet is going to be heavy. A compacted glacier is coming.

    AI a touch slower with onset. Comes in hard. Rough guessing 12 hours of snow before the flip. Pretty heavy sleet after that.
