Cold air still pouring south on the NAM. Really looks great imo.

CAD at onset is really tasty on the NAM though. With the cold air still pouring down east of the mountains. A lot of cold air to scour out before any flip.

Its amped for sure. Sub 1000 in CO. First flakes out this way Saturday afternoon. Was lining us up for a pummeling.

It already happened when the GFS lost the storm yesterday. Feeling pretty good that we all see a foot from this. Maybe to hyped. But thats how I feel.

It can only cut so much into that hp. I don't care how bombed out it is. I still think it would try try to jump from TN or KY before getting to wv. But I'm not a met either. Regardless the thump being depicted is historic alone.

We haven't had a storm like this in a decade. And people are flipping out about some taint on top of over a foot of snow? Which is then followed by sub freezing temps for 2 weeks. I honestly don't get it. The synoptic setup alone has me weenieing out man. We are going to get absolutely mauled during the daylight hours on Sunday While watching the NFL Championship games. Absolute perfection for me.

This is the perfect progression for our big storms. Primary into TN or KY and a jump to the Carolinas border. I am good with where we are now. No further north. Even for me.

NAM is the NAM. But it already opens the southern wave at 51 and has much less confluence in the east. It would be more north than the GFS imo. Not even gonna look beyond that. No point.

Sorry to jump in from the NOVA forum. I am out in Winchester. Dont sweat the mixing too much. This is a really rare airmass we are going to be dealing with. CAD is all the way down to SC. Even if you mix all of you will get buried before the switch. This is going to be one historic storm for VA. Possibly the biggest ever as far as the number of counties hit. Crazy stuff. -
A lot more members jack our area now than at 12Z. Really good sign.
