Nice thunderstorm in OCMD. Heavy rain, wind, and lightning. Warning in effect.

At OC and not a pleasant day on the beach. Stiff south wind, sand blowing everywhere, rough surf. Pool is great though. Water is warm.

General observation: my lawn looks much better than it should with the lack of beneficial rain. .10 yesterday. I guess the silver lining of the smoky muck over the last few weeks is the shrouded sunlight is keeping the lawn from baking....

JB says a blend of his analogs gives DC 27-36 inches this upcoming winter...."Given my belief the Strong Modoki El Nino for winter has 57-58,65-66,03-03,09-10" as analogs. (WB blog). I will be thrilled with anything close to half of that amount.
