I thought that winds weren't going to start up until tomorrow afternoon or night, with another round on Friday afternoon. Some strong ones tomorrow morning? Also, I'm bit surprised that there's just a wind advisory if we're expecting winds 50 to 65 mph? Do you think they'll upgrade the wind advisor to a high wind warning?

Well I think someone else said this is well, but there's really nothing else to track after this coming storm for tomorrow and Friday. We're just picking at the scraps for now. Something really good will come, and this will all be forgotten.

Come on man. You should know yourself that this is not a sentence stone forecast. Right now. His thoughts are what he's putting up to. Just get us prepared. But to say this is written in stone. It's like saying we're getting a blizzard the day after. You should know better than anyone on here.

Regardless of being in West Hartford, I'm actually about 12 miles west in Plainville. I would absolutely take a snowy march. It is true, we don't know. Normally have a deep pack situation where we are in the state, but we do get some good snows. So you may not want to get or care about getting snow in March, but much could be a very good month for snow as well. Not sure where we're talking about March when we're just in the third week of December lol. Just felt the need to reply to a ridiculous statement

I do agree that learning is starting to wane. I don't think we'll get into El nino before winters over. We do and can however get into a more neutral state as we head into late winter. That's just my thoughts now but of course things can change like the weather lol

With all the changes that we've seen or the models were showing much colder weather and it not totally working out, there's no way we can take the models out 2 weeks from now and think that we're going into a super mild phase. There is going to be differences and changes and surprises. It's happened before and it will happen again

The only thing that we could look at is a positive is that the pattern is likely to change. Once they go negative and we go positive for the PNA that's when we should see some action.

I just have to vent lol. Freaking Seattle is under a winter storm warning tonight and tomorrow. SEATTLE!!! It's like a big kick in the ass for us up here in the Northeast.

You only think the issue is here. It's not that some of your comments are incorrect, it's the way you handle your comments. I'm all for constructive criticism, but you tend to dig in to the point where you're supposed to become more sarcastic and provoking. I think that's why you tend to get a lot of comments to your posts that are agreeable. All I would say is change your approach and your comments are just fine

The way our luck has been going, anything is possible. But, like the pre Christmas Storm.... That showed up last Wednesday on most models as a large snowstorm for the East Coast, only to transition over Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to what will now be a large Snow event for the Chicago area. So, I would pump the brakes on an all out Rainer for New Years. Things can change at this point in time ( lord please )

I guess we'll be taking about the holiday and dinner cold temps ( and warm temps around the New Year ) and the HUGE middle of the country storm until after the New Year. Man am I disappointed in how things turned out this month. But.. looking forward to after the New Year with hopes we will see a nice pattern set up with a Snowy pattern for a good length of time. One could wish.

No I never said we were getting it on Christmas Eve. I'm talking about the storm for Thursday and Friday. There is a possibility on the back end of the storm for Friday night that we could see a little snow. What I meant was wouldn't it be nice to have it on the ground for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

I think all we need around here is one or two inches next Friday night to cover everything up and give us a festive feel for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Even without the big storm, I think that would really make a lot of us happy and just put us in that spirit. If we don't have it. I'm still going to be in the spirit, but it would just make the spirit even more exciting for us whether weenies. And before any of you shoot down my post or call me a weenie, you know you want it just as much as I do

Any chance that we could get a bit of a change over at the end of the storm on Friday night? I'm starting to feel a touch of optimism that we could maybe get that. Even a coating would be nice. It would stay on the ground for Christmas with the cold temperatures

Someone just mentioned that Larry Cosgrove said the storm was going to reform in North Carolina. I asked to see or for them to post an article with that, but nothing was given. They said they did see it. I just think it's pulling its straws at this point
