  1. And it's a bit early to really see snow chances in NYC (not unheard of), just early.
  2. Yesterday's winds took a lot of the leaves down. Probably 50% down ( And yes, the lawn looks nice and green here too )
  3. Lolol... And that's coming from a guy who wants damaging winds to take down wires and trees for days and days.
  4. Well... I ended up with 3.96 in here. Definitely busted high.
  5. Ps..... From what I'm seeing for our area next week, our temperatures look to be in the upper 50s early in the week... Then it looks like mid-50s to lower 50s Wednesday to Friday, and maybe back to around 57 ish next Saturday. Our average high temperature for November 3rd in our area is 53°. So I'm not seeing anything related to a torch at all next week. Maybe you saw something different when you looked but this is what I'm seeing now.
  6. Looks like a nice big plume of moisture is developing off the coast of North Carolina. There are two bands that look like they are going to connect as they make their way North. That's probably going to be our heavy rain later this afternoon to this evening.
  7. So what do you consider a torch? A few degrees above normal. Torch to me would be something like 10 or more degrees above normal.
  8. I agree. Having a normal winter this year would feel like a blockbuster after the last several, which were lackluster seasons.
  9. You're one strange dude. We've had several mornings now below freezing. And I'm not in an area where you consider me to be remote or up in Northern Vermont. I'm about 12 miles west of Hartford, Connecticut.
  10. Yeah well Kev said it's going to be a warm month with not much cold LOL
  11. Looking ahead to next week... Looks like highs here for Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the 40's.
  12. Shyte ... That's what I get for posting while I'm cooking dinner. LOL. DIT!! Ty
  13. What kind of miracle? To come here? Did you join blood forces with DIT??
  14. And where might I ask are you coming up with that forecast?
  15. Take the cutter now.... you get your high winds and we don't worry about getting cut out of any snow.
  16. Kind of a hybrid I guess... Does start out in the ocean and cuts in near the Delmarva. At least on this depiction. To me when I think of an inland cutter, it starts out in the Great lakes and lives its way up through the St. Lawrence valley or the Appalachians. But potato-pototo I guess
  17. So... I do know there has been some snow at the highest elevations of Vermont.... But this system seems like it could be our first region wide snowfall..... At least as of now (not a forecast, but bothe the GFS & the Euro have this system for 11/7-8 timeframe) https://x.com/Lclimateguy/status/1982046984589463849?t=jIhEOUA4tOpT0f5OArK1UA&s=19
  18. Well this morning was the first morning that all of the roofs on my street had frost on them. It's funny, I'm higher up on the hill but a few houses down from me and as I go down, the roofs on the house is is seem to be more frosty than up where I was. It's the whole valley thing I guess LOL.
  19. Hmmmm... Is Euro reclaiming it's place as King?!
