Some hope towards the end of the month and most of March. I've heard some rumblings ( well.. some more than that ). I listen to one of my local meteorologists Facebook live every morning here in CT. He also mentioned that the latest data was showing some strong signals of a pattern change that could offer up a much Wintrier pattern later this month and into all of March. It's not over yet ( all we have is hope ) PS ... It was also mentioned on his Facebook live to watch this weekend's storm for us as it's only Wednesday and he could see this coming up more this way.

Well. It's sleeting again here. From what the weather said this eve... Only areas at the mass border would see a wintry mix? Well.. It was sleeting about an hour ago, then it slowed down and now it's sleeting real hard again. And we're not right at the mass border. Lol

So the question is which way will it go. Is there one that would be more reliable than the other? Does one have more support than the other?

Who am I kidding, I'm not going anywhere..... Whether we get something or not. 25 years ago I would have been able to do these adventures with no problem as I wasn't tied down. It'll come to us at some point ( My life is actually very good, so I don't mind being tied down now )

If this thing stays south and Virginia & North Carolina get a dumping of snow, we need to shut this forum down... Lol

So with the GFS going way south, and the euro being where it was today, might we see it trend more towards a snowy or solution? Haven't had that happen at all this season as it's always trended the other way ( warmer and rainier ). It'd be cool to see how it plays out, but as usual like everything else, it has a lot going against it.

Well with the way this season has gone, it would be nice to go out with the bang. Least will leave on a good note. If not, we have next year.

Just put my daughter to bed and came downstairs to look outside and it's snowing. Left to dusting and still snowing a little. It's weird because it doesn't even show up on radar. Nice little surprise

Listen... You are probably right. The pattern has done this all season. Shows Snow and as the event gets closer it becomes a rain storm ( or slop to rain ). That has been the pattern. However, there is no need to pounce on anyone if they still hold out that one of these storms turns out to be a snow event. It is possible. We still have February and most of March. So, let it be... There is no harm in holding out hope that we still see some snow. It's not hurting anyone. Why the hell do some of you feel the need to jump all over people. If you have giving up hope, so be it. My take is I'm fine with the fact that our chances of seeing a big snow event are very low. But it is not zero. And if something does pop.... I'll be there... And SO WILL YOU YOU! LOL Let people be!

I'm telling you, I really feel we're going to get something, but it's going to be a surprise. It's not going to be something that's going to show up on the long range, it's going to be something that's going to pop up within four to five days maximum. Maximum. Just how the season has been. I'm not waiting for it but I feel like that will happen

Very normal to have bears well into November.. even early December. We have a fair amount that come through our yard as well. There was just a story recently on the news of a bear that's hibernating under someone's deck, that's just a few houses up from where we are. He was in his sleep state, so even though his eyes were open, he was still in his hibernation.

I've given up. Tried to stay positive as much as possible. But seems everyone has jumped ship on this Winter. It's all good... Next year is another year ladies and gentleman. Pattern has never made the change no matter how many times it showed it. I was holding on hoping that it would. But I've got enough people coming down on me to now make it clear that it's just not happening. Until next year

If you take it out another day or two would show that the cold air is pouring east. The only thing I will say about you is you tend to choose what you'd like to show. But then say that this is how it's going to be. Yes, it's been generally cold pattern out west warm pattern in the east, but this is just showing the cold air pouring into the east for next week

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I work in West Hartford. We did have snow in the afternoon and it came down pretty good, but it didn't accumulate on the roads at all and had a covering on the ground. I drove home at 4:00 to where I live in Plainville, I'm up about 500 ft. With snow and we definitely had more snow where I live. Then here in West Hartford where I work. It was cool to see

Here's the good thing, the chances of it being worse next year are super slim. So we can only go up up ( well, colder lol ) from here
