  1. Right now they're not calling for high heat late next week ( and I mean high heat for this time of the year which would be upper 60s to 70 ), I'm seeing temperatures around 60 for next Friday. But let's see if that changes and the next several days.
  2. He lives for this ... He just waits for the new season to stir the pot. Something is wrong with him, nothing was done last year and nothing will be done this year. Just need to laugh at the poor guy
  3. C'mon man. Did you want some cheese with that Wine???
  4. Well it seems like the GFS had the storm for Wednesday pinned. It never had it hitting us, the euro had a hitting us and now the euro has backed off. So another win for the GFS I guess
  5. So... It's looking like the storm for Tuesday night into Wednesday has faded for SNE?
  6. That's about where I'd expect it to accumulate. At this point. Maybe we see a mix lower down or south of the pike? That would be a stretch. But it has done it a few times in the past. I'm more intrigued about the rest of the winter and how it will play out. But time will tell.
  7. Does he mean the system for next Wednesday? He's the one that's been calling for warmth throughout the month until December. Lol
  8. I think Central and Western Canada are getting bombarded with snow from this latest storm that has been coming in. They should have a really good snow cover out in British Columbia, the Canadian Rockies and even into around the Calgary Alberta area.
  9. Ahhh... I see what you mean by boring you want some action as far as damaging winds or tornadoes or hurricanes or major flooding. I find that so fascinating, but I don't want it where I am. My parents went through it first hand with the hurricane down in Florida last year ago and it really devastated their house and the area around them, so much so that they're going to be moving back north. So I'm not a fan of devastation and how it takes people out. Just not my thing, but to each their own.
  10. I wouldn't say it was a Flaccid year around here..... we had one of the wettest Summers with a several months being in the top 5 wettest months ever. Maybe where you are it was boring though.
  11. Probably nothing.... But...I don't expect much until we get later in the season. You're just going to have to make your own fun for now.
  12. Looks like most of us inland Connecticut will get down close to freezing next Tuesday night...and below Wednesday night. There's that hard Freeze Kevin.
  13. Wound up with 2.2" of Rain here. The rain shut off around 1
  14. I think he's doing this So he doesn't get disappointed when we don't see the cold shot. I think we've all been burned enough times where the models show one thing 10 days out and another 5 days out. But it seems pretty evident to me that this cold shot is coming. He's just a bit gun shy I guess
  15. No, no, this wasn't for where you are, I was referring to the post from go-kart. Even here in Connecticut. There's been some extreme differences from one side to the other. But I agree up where you are it's a totally different story.
  16. I disagree... I'm about 12 miles west of Hartford and when I left this morning we already had 1.45" of rain. I think i would be over 2" by now
  17. So the average first frost for my area of Connecticut, unless you're deep in a valley are way up high is between the 11th and 20th. So we are a little behind. As far as the first Freeze... I think that would be more around November 10th-ish time frame
  18. Apparently there will be a storm forming off the Delmarva which will cause the heavy rains tomorrow. Originally the storm was going to get it's act together further east near the Cape...
  19. I really thought as of last week it was going to be pretty bum year for nice foliage. However, just in the last couple of days, the hills around my house look like calico mountain. The colors are really popping and looking really nice. So there is some salvaged foliage happening
  20. I'm a fan of a few meteorologists here in Connecticut. Ryan, of course, and I also am a fan of Gil Simmons from WTNH. WTNH. He gave a bit of his view of one he thinks. We'll see our first flurries, and first widespread snow. He gave a guesstimate of flurry somewhere around the 7th of November, and thought around the 27th We would have a shot of some snow across the state. Now. Of course not talking blockbuster snow, but some snow. None of this is set in stone, and he even said it's just something he sees as a possibility. Something to look forward to for now.
