The amount of public freakout over this has gone way too far. All because a few people made a mistake. Is it tragic? Yes, but stuff like this has happened for years, and will continue to happen for years to come. Not everyone can swim. Not everyone can read. Not everyone can speak the same language. Not everyone is glued to the news, or their phone 24/7. And then you'll have some of those who will defy all of that logic and reasoning too. -
Peaked at 94 around 12:15. DP down to 67. Feels much better than yesterday. Nice 10 mph breeze from the southeast

Sea breeze arriving with a better punch this afternoon. Should wind up cooler than yesterday.

It's a bit warm at home. Little bit of relief at the beach but there's not much wind coming off the water. Still sweating about as fast as I can consume water. Ocean temp is 71 per my watch sensor.

Pretty pathetic at the beach yesterday evening. One or two distant rumbles of thunder, 35 mph gusts, and a brief 10 minute downpour. Made for a good 45 minute window to catch a few waves before the sun set. Gotta get some reps before Indonesia. Gorgeous morning. Windows will be open all day. Looks to be the best beach day of the coming week.

Southeast sea breeze already doing its thing here. Gonna be a beautiful beach day if you took off. Should put a chokehold on any potential pop-up storms from migrating to the Jersey coast. We'll see what the potential squall line does later.

Started off at 45. Chilly surf session at dawn. At least the water temp is already flirting with 60.

Pool's officially open for business. Cleaned, skimmed, and treated. Water's 73 degrees in it already.

Muggy out. Picked the wrong time to decide on bedlining the truck bed (needs 5 days without touching water) but all the prep work needs to get done.

Nice spring day here. Flowers starting to bloom in the garden. Working on building a custom hammock stand for the yard. 62 for a high. Pea soup weather returns tomorrow

Made it to 66 before the sea breeze brought it back to the 50s. That's how it goes this time of year. Tomorrow will be a great day to do a paint correction on the truck after taking down a trail a little too narrow. Hoping the clouds can clear on Thursday night for the lunar eclipse but we might be looking through soup if the marine layer persists.

I'm ready for spring. Sun feels fantastic if you block yourself out of the wind. This $25 charcoal grill will be used heavily on these sunny days.
