  1. This renegade storm circled in red is producing clouds moving to the SE and is prolonging the cloud cover across the NYC area
  2. Nothing had the rain this far south and west. Even at 6z they couldn't figure it out
  3. Never thought I'd be sitting at 75 degrees at noon today, but here we are.
  4. 12z GEMLAM has 93 degrees at 2PM for Ronkonkoma LI out in Suffolk County and thereabouts. You think it will verify?
  5. Does this have any implications for tomorrow's wind direction?
  6. Guys the 12z NAMs couldn't even initialize the rain correctly. My goodness.
  7. Just as I said that it shows one lightning bolt around Manhattan lol I'm referring to our local area of course. I know that in central NY it's been showing the lightning.
  8. For some reason Radarscope isn't picking up any of the lightning that is occuring. Weird.
  9. I love a cold, moderate steady snow that falls all day long. I can stare out the window forever looking at that.
  10. I remember some type of event from the early 90s where the Weather Channel was showing models forecasting moderate snow dropping down from the north in a line. Even as a little kid I remember seeing that and thinking that was weird.
  11. How cute, 6z RGEM had upper 80s for 10AM. It's 73 degrees right now.
  12. Where in the world are you located lol
  13. Yea that part of Queens got the straight line winds, we didn't get that here. But the tornado was bad enough as it was.
  14. The light level outside right now is the same as it would be end of December cloudiness wise. It's really dark out.
  15. This is literally my favorite video from that day.
  16. That 2010 tornado destroyed so many giant old trees in my neighborhood. It still upsets me to this day
  17. That thing is really firing on all cylinders in central NY
  18. Try 6 hours. The 6z models still didn't accurately capture this rain.
  19. I was just pointing out that for a few days early last week the GFS was insisting the rain would dive down and farther west than the other models were showing. The other models at the time were showing the rain through Northern New England. The GFS does suck because it eventually abandoned the rain idea despite being correct in the end.
  20. You know what's funny, a bunch of models didn't have anything down here so they still show high 90s for a lot of people lol
  21. Tuesday there's a very good chance
  22. The 6z NAM and RGEM are literally 300 miles off with the rain. 6z!
  23. The higher resolution models dropped the ball too. Just a poor job all around.
