  1. Well Charlotteburg is the biggest city in the country, after all.
  2. They will be dispersed far above ground level and very far apart. People will be fine.
  3. Ah ok. I thought you were saying that we were going to return to a cooler regime. That we were snapping back to cooler temps in general.
  4. Amazing that the area that has changed very little around JFK (the houses were already built and have basically stayed the same) had the biggest departure in terms of ranking the hottest July. Obviously it's a combination of factors but the above normal ocean temps and outrageous dewpoint temps played their role and kept JFK from cooling down as much as they could have in the past. Same in Islip. I guess UHI warmed up the whole damn ocean!
  5. I'm just glad I caught a bit of a break because every time it rains it's biblical. Just had another massive burst of rain. Now it's practically stopped. But I see it will be back very soon on radar.
  6. I'm glad that cell in Queens/Nassau is literally a few blocks to my east and it just barely pulled away from me. I'm still on the edge and I am getting random little bursts but a mile east of me is catastrophic.
  7. There are a few localized spots that still suck but they are way down from what they used to be and even the spots that still suck are better than what they were. Overall NO2 in the atmosphere is way down. And we were talking about rural spots anyway, not the Cross Bronx haha
  8. We are way down on NO2 pollution compared to the 90s and before. Cars are a million times cleaner now.
  9. At least regarding the airborne pollutants, they were much worse in the past compared to today.
  10. It's like a noreaster out there with these east winds and rain, weird
  11. Man the wind is blasting out of the east, switched suddenly a few minutes ago
