  1. 12z EURO has 103 in NYC Monday but down to 84 by 8PM. On the 0z run the temp was still 98 degrees at 8PM.
  2. 12z GGEM pushes the 100s inland on Tuesday though and NYC east stays in the 90s FYI.
  3. 12z GFS has 102 for Manhattan for Tuesday and upper 90s deep into LI.
  4. Upper 80s in NYC for Monday on the 12z GGEM, down into the 70s by 8PM. The 6z Euro is the only model pumping out 100s for NYC on Monday, but that's an old run, let's see what 12z shows.
  5. 80s for NYC on Monday on the new 12z GFS.
  6. Technically the 6z run was the halfway point between the 0z and 12z changes.
  7. That may be true but now pretty much all the models have turned the winds from the ocean instead of from the NW. Bottom line if that wind direction is anywhere close to true we're not getting to 104 on Monday like the Euro had yesterday or the day before.
  8. 0z ICON had near 100 and NWerly winds for NYC Monday and now the 12z run has 85 degrees with easterly winds hahaha We take
  9. The RGEM, which had the medium grays (mid 100s) running into Suffolk County on the 6z run on Tuesday 5PM now has this at 12z:
  10. Could easily be wrong but the 6z ICON, UKMET AND Euro AI all have a ocean wind component for Monday now. The UKMET especially changed because it was an inferno beforehand.
  11. What is happening on the 12z NAM it has east winds and 80s for NYC Monday afternoon hahaha
  12. The same people that are super pro environment also want to fill every last gap of real estate with housing haha. NYC's UHI has been very pronounced for at least 100 years though, NYC had 8 million people 100 years ago.
  13. Haha good luck with that. I requested a few street trees on the parks department website 4 years ago and I've gotten nothing. This is on a form specifically made to request street trees in specific locations, I wasn't writing an email to the parks department asking for a free tree or something.
  14. Central Park wasn't wildly different on average compared to the surrounding stations until about 25 years ago.
  15. Everyone knows that if you want to find reprieve from the heat you head to Manhattan
  16. Bro the location and foliage is not the same as it was in 1966 in Central Park. I
  17. It's amazing what a difference low dewpoints make.
  18. I think even if NYC recorded a high of 75 you would somehow try to spin that shit as valid
  19. That's one of the hottest parts of the NJ coast on the 18z NAM at 5PM Monday. This is fickle though so I'm sure it will change:
  20. I love cooler temps, not if they're fake though
  21. That means pretty much every model is overdoing the seabreeze which is something that globals I would think would have a problem picking up properly to begin with. So if they're all showing an ocean wind cooling everyone off you'd think they'd be on to something.
  22. Damn I meant Monday afternoon not Tuesday lol My brain saw Tuesday 0z and mixed up the days
  23. I don't think you're maintaining 90s with a wind off the water, even if it's on the lighter end.
