  1. Here's a higher resolution photo. He's not even writing his signature, just his last name.
  2. https://www.dailywire.com/news/wh-releases-photos-of-trump-grinding-away-at-work-while-in-hospital Dude. This is the pinnacle of WTF. You can clearly tell that the two photos in the tweet were taken ten minutes apart, in different rooms, with Trump being dressed differently in each. In the screenshot, you can LITERALLY SEE that he's using the world's fattest Sharpie to sign a BLANK PIECE OF PAPER. The fact that they're endangering the life of a photographer for this shit is pathetic.
  3. This is playing out like last winter's trend of "weaker and south". It shouldn't be so predictable, but it is anyway. Thanks for the info lol
  4. I just woke up, what's going on?
  5. There's your definitive proof. If that's true, that they edited out his cough, then it's kind of over. That has lots of implications, not that I need to tell you that. I wonder if it's going to be talked about in official media.
  6. It may not be definitive evidence, but what little information has been made available certainly supports Stebo's conclusion. Firstly, I highly doubt Trump would have received oxygen supplementation, let alone Regeneron, if he wasn't doing at least somewhat poorly. Secondly, we have four years of Trump's presidency to suggest that were he doing fabulous right now, the tone of his videos/tweets/the WH in general would be a LOT different. You know as well as I do that if Trump were doing really well, he'd be the first one to let the world know. And sure, everyone is saying that he's doing decent; but they aren't really selling it, for the above reasons.
  7. I wonder if the timeline thing is the reason he's doing so bad. Maybe he/they took so long to get the situation addressed that by the time Trump did come in, he was already kind of screwed (not that there's a whole lot of preventative measures out there anyway, to my knowledge). Supposedly his fever lifted, so I guess he has to be doing okay, at least for now. Unless that's complete bullshit, because I'm starting to think it likely is.
  8. Facts. I don't know why the WH has to play this whole "ride the middle" game. Either tell us every last detail, or don't tell us anything. Obviously the first option is the only option but what they're doing right now is just plain confusing.
  9. At no point did Stebo say anything about what you personally do. Wearing a mask is the bare minimum and doing so does not save you from having poor ideas about how the government should manage this epidemic. There's no need to claim that people are "living in terror" because they value increased social restriction over saving the economy.
  10. I didn't look into this super deeply, but if you're comparing people who get pneumonia from a rhinovirus vs people who get pneumonia from influenza , there's probably an underlying reason why more of the rhinovirus patients end up dying (i.e, they're much weaker). In general, I doubt that common cold viruses can kill anywhere near as many old people as Covid can.
  11. My friend said it was hailing decently in Glendale Heights. I don't know a whole lot about how this stuff works, so don't bake me for my speculation, but do the relatively cool temperatures impact how easy it is for updrafts to generate hail?
  12. Rhinoviruses also tend not to kill your grandpa.
  13. An early departure is alright with me as long as we define 'early' as March, not December.
  14. Don't worry. This winter will be an absolute banger.
  15. I used to watch this tv show called Monsters Inside Me, which was all about people having horrible diseases/parasites. Gruesome, I know. The messed up episodes had fatality rates of maybe 10%. The fact that Covid is even approaching that, even just for a certain age group is terrifying.
  16. We stood in the siding, saw the red light in the distance, and then shifted the rail switch to bring a 5,000 meter long coal train straight into us.
  17. I would like to think not. I've spent an extensive amount of time in my secret ritual cave and have sacrificed a myriad of wild animals and neighbors alike to ensure a satisfying winter for all midwesterners. If that doesn't do the trick, then winter is cancelled ...In all seriousness, I just thought of something: Surely everyone in here has heard of people being like "F*ck 2020" and talking about how every month of the year, something new goes catastrophically wrong. Thus, it would only make sense for this winter to be an absolute snow/cold fest because that way, people can keep personifying the calendar year and complaining. With kids not even being in school, it would only make sense for all of the snow in the universe to fall this year so that no snow days are awarded.
  18. I think that most of you would agree with me that it would just be nice to feel something again during winter. Last winter wasn't even filled with disappointment, you know? I mean, it was, but a system completely disappearing from existence three days out is just incomparable to a nail-biting, near-miss a county to the north or south. Not that I love near-misses, but at least those are a standard part of any winter.
  19. Anyone who actually believes that generic face masks increase CO2 levels in the human body probably has a hard time wearing one due to their massive, protruding brow ridge. How does that even make sense? It's practically first grade knowledge that literal molecules are smaller in size than even viruses. How on earth do you look at a disposable mask and go "hurr durr, no way a CO2 molecule can fit through this". I apologize for my condescending tone, but for Christ's sake I'm a college distance runner, and if I can wear a mask at practice, running seventy miles a week, then so can someone running around back and forth on a field. Or someone rolling around on a wrestling mat. Oh, by the way, athletic scholarships aren't worth much if your athletic capabilities cease to be because of a severe respiratory infection.
  20. Getting a lot more rain out of the line of storms than I anticipated. It's been raining steadily for almost an hour now.
  21. Verdant is a very cool word, and I thank you for teaching me it.
  22. The trauma is coming back. Every storm, starting out promising... In the middle, it starts trending better and better... Then the last few days, you're just chasing a dream, praying that it doesn't happen all over again, growing more numb with every model run.
  23. Going in to the doctor today after a third night of low fever and malaise. I still don't think it's very likely to be Covid, but I woke up to texts from friends asking that I get tested, so I suppose the choice is sort of out of my hands by now anyway. Edit: Like every day so far of this "illness", I'm currently totally fine. I went to bed at like 2:30 with a temperature of 100.2F, which had dropped to 99.4F by about 3:30 (I couldn't fall asleep to save my life, because most of the time I work overnights now). Right now, I have absolutely no symptoms of anything at all. So it's anyone's guess if I start feeling bad again later.
