  1. Snow has entered my forecast zone from MRX for the weekend.
  2. Not used to seeing this forum get heated! Yes there was a warm stretch for a few weeks around the holidays but it’s been cold and dry for the most part this winter. It would have been nice to have a little more moisture during this cold phase but there’s more chances coming.
  3. Snowing in Oneida. Very uncomfortable outside. It’s sticking.
  4. My hospital in Oneida had the same thing happen this afternoon. I’m a pharmacist by trade but I was a freezing water shoveler today. Exhausted.
  5. Hard to tell due to the wind but I’d guess 2.5-3” here in Farragut. Rates never really got high nor did they ever get to become high ratio feathers like in used to seeing in the plains. This one thus far is more like an intense long duration fog storm.
  6. Not a huge fan of the radar right now. Snow has basically stopped in my neck of the woods.
  7. Not yet in my part of Farragut but the sky has lowered as has the temperature.
  8. The sun never came out in Farragut. Been working on a white pine that came down from last weekend’s event and would’ve liked some of that.
  9. It’s a good sub forum! Don’t expect any/much Tennessee mountain talk though. Their clime dynamics are almost literally the opposite of ours so there’s rarely much crossover unless there’s a big storm that encompasses the entire southern apps.
  10. The point forecast has zero human element to it. .
  11. When I lived in Charlotte these were the types of storms that modeled for the CLT area then ultimately verified NW towards either side of the apps. I think the last one was 2014 or 2015.
  12. All true, but these events are exactly why NE Tennessee averages the most snow in the state, without respect to elevation. Jelly for your locale. I chose west Knox blindly based on schools, if I had to do it again I’d be up your way somewhere or far north Knox or southern Anderson counties probably.
  13. I know the weekend system rightfully has our attention but it does look like the feb6-8 time frame is holding legitimate potential as well.
