Yeah and the wind isn’t that strong anymore, I think I saw Todd say at 10:30 it’s sw at 19 gusting to 31? That’s not strong at all. Something else has to be at play as well...because all the other lakes are having no issue with band structure
It’s a global model...not very reliable in LES. Also every in-house model has been consistent in their forecasts as well and also none of them had this scenario
Again my issue with that placement puts it in the hills south of the southtowns...I believe you’ll see snow though...also Niagara Falls US is reporting Moderate snow
Sort of...it definitely has a band up north but also has a main southern band ...right now that doesn’t exist but I’m wondering if it will later this evening
And I’m wondering if that’s where it stays for a while. In my point click it states the heaviest snows are in my area then shift to the southtowns. I’ll take 6 hours of heavy snow and be happy
This is a win for the NWS and the other models all performed terrible. None of them showed this band at all. And FWIW the lake effect over southern lower Michigan is really strong right now, hopefully a sign of thing to come.
I hope you and Dev have your essential passports to get into Canada because that’s where the band is as if now. It finally looks like it’s getting it’s act together. Question is if you look at lower Huron the trajectory is the exact same as the Erie band almost SSW. We may not see this band in the US until about 7 or so at this rate. Definitely a twist to the forecast
