Who determines if a game is postponed ? The home team or MLB ? Obviously a decision favoring the Yankees because Tampa Bay is in first and HOT and the Yanks are NOT !

Trying to predict rainfall amounts in this set up is next to impossible IMO. Models don't have a handle on exactly where the heavier precip will occur. More than likely there will be a wide range of amounts spread throughout the region IMO.

why are you going for much lower rainfall totals than Upton ?

True - many merchants in the shore towns will see less $$$ than expected but it will help the drought from getting any worse in the short term BUT we need soakers like this on a regular basis for a month or so to really lessen drought conditions - not lilkely with June traditionally not one of our wettest months and a stretch of sunny warm/hot long summer days more likely than not.

yes the rain should be mostly over by Monday but if you are implying this will end the drought - think again Upton only going for less than 3 inches overall more south than north AFD from KOKX

A few hours of showers once or twice a week will not reverse this long term drought.

click on fronts here and you can see the front is getting closer to us from the northwest already cleared NW Jersey - looks like areas south of I-78 get the most severe storms WunderMap® | Interactive Weather Map and Radar | Weather Underground

No mention - just straight line winds where the most severe storms occur - which is yet to be determined BUT at the looks of radar and where the front is now central and south NJ along with Philly look to be most likely IMO

Going to be interesting to see how much severe weather actually develops here this afternoon as the front is already moving east fast and runs from Milford PA southwest down to around Harrisburg with no mesoscale discussions or any severe watches/warnings anywhere-AS OF 12 NOON RWR from KCTP SPC Products Page

and that strong late spring sun and hot temps will dry things out further worsening the drought - moderate to severe in many places already.....

a couple of small puddles here probably less than a tenth here,.Precip on radar mainly from extreme eastern NJ and points east. patches of blue sky approaching from the west on the Satellite images and observed here in north central NJ

The line of showers is once again weakening as it moves east into the metro - lets see if it ends up stalling out as some guidance suggests once it is over the metro - really need the rain.....
