  1. Actually liking my location for a mini-"pivot" point on the northern periphery of forcing.
  2. Sidewalks finally coated here, local stations indicate about 34 degrees.
  3. it's just worrying being just barely in that SPC bubble. Hoping we do well here.
  4. Probably on the northern edge of the good rates here. Hopefully we don't get sandwiched between the good forcing and the deform band.
  5. that band is gonna come in hot in my area. From nothing to 35 dbz.
  6. This sounding looks really cold until the very bottom, which should prevent any "white rain" fears I would think. This is true even throughout SE mass. Great lift as well.
  7. Seems like good model convergence today. HREFs are still juiced at 12z
  8. I mean, they missed for people like us on the coastal plain but what you said about them busting for most of SNE isn't true. But yeah, it was a bad call for us on the coast.
  9. They were pretty accurate just a few miles inland I thought.
  10. 'fascinating'. id go for something more like 'horrific' personally.
  11. Wonder if BOX is waiting until the euro comes out to hoist some WSWs
  12. actually, it's really not any more complicated than the mean. nevermind!
  13. wow, just trying to think how I would do that and the math gets very complicated on the global scale.
  14. I'd appreciate that event, nice 4-8 region wide during the afternoon.
  15. RGEM once again proved to be a good mesoscale model in these types of situations.
  16. if you can take a screencapture of the photos, you can have them in take up less memory and you'll be able to upload them. That's what I do.
  17. right, exactly. the mesos did fine if you didn't consider the clown maps. the soundings were accurate. just a good lesson for me.
  18. Takeaway for the coast: either the 900 mb level or the ground level was too warm to accumulate, but I don't know which. Probably both.
