  1. I'm not sure how rare this is, but check out this line of storms over the Hudson Bay! Would make sense considering the massive heat the NW has seen for things to push north
  2. We actually had a pretty good storm exactly 2 years ago from yesterday if I recall correctly. Late June is anecdotally a pretty "active" period for us (if you can call this active)
  3. Pretty decent light show up in these parts too
  4. we keep touching the stove and getting burned. such is severe wx in New England
  5. old location getting more action than we got... lol
  6. Dust flying around like its the desert southwest
  7. hopefully we can get some "training" later on
  8. dewpoint pooling? interesting, didnt know that was a thing
  9. Think we'll need all the instability we can amass here in SNE during peak heating since best forcing seems to be NNE until the evening.
  10. MLCAPE values finally above 1500 for all of the region.
  11. its SNE though, so the most probable outcome is always a dud. Nevertheless, I can't remember the last time I was in an enhanced risk.
  12. I'd settle for a clearly visible CG at this point
  13. Maybe Tuesday is a better shot at some severe. Sigh
  14. @weatherwiz thread for Saturday warranted or no?
  15. It was horrific. We got 4" or so of slop in Somerville while Winchester, 4 miles away, received 18 inches. We moved to Concord a month later, which was just a little too late! I'll remember that pain for a while, a little like the disappointment following no flip to snow in that early March 2018 storm (back when I was even more of a weenie).
  16. Saturday has got to be a slight risk day with that strong cf passage
  17. Let's see if we can do anything with this 3k CAPE we have here in Eastern Mass. Doubtful
  18. Just endless CGs in the area today
