  1. Nah it's just rain. Even a lot of the people with snow are above freezing.
  2. Haha fair enough. Just got back inside from a walk and it started raining. So the people who were on the ledge for getting fringed can at least come back inside.Just got back inside from a walk and it started raining. 3. Shrug. I guess there’s no point being on here then.
  4. So angry, so absolute, so certain. Meanwhile sleet and freezing rain are right on our doorstep, with wet bulbs crashing south. And I’m not paying attention?
  5. DC south people are on the ledge. Someone throw up a clown map to save them.
  6. Huh? We're about to get nailed...Are you looking at the radar?
  7. As someone who has bashed the models this is true. In the spring we’d ignore a burst of showers along a frontal boundary. But we all know not to take those forecasts too seriously. Add in some p type issues and it’s not an easy forecast. I still think it’s incredible that modeling is still so unreliable. But it goes to show how good the pros are. They held firm to an advisory event here and warning snows up north. And they don’t look too dumb right now.
  8. I'd be more than happy with this solution.
  9. Heaviest snow I've seen all year in Chevy Chase. Overperforming so far. About a half inch or inch on the grass.
  10. Looks great to me. Straight into the heart of it.
  11. Given what we've seen, I'm not counting us out in DC yet. The models have been completely awful.
  12. Yeah same. Definitely pleased with what I see so far though. It's going to be a matter of whether 850s blast up from the south... Moderate snow, vacillating between 33-34.
  13. This isn't really the pre wave anymore. It's just going to continue streaming across the mountains like this until it looks like that first batch is catching up. This is the beginning of the 'coastal' kicking in. (Kind of just a good fetch off the Atlantic.)
  14. No idea what temperature it is but the snow started winding down as I got back home with the pups. Ground was a mix of mud and white dust. Half the cars were starting to freeze and the other half were wet. More gross than pretty. The gross dog loved it and the fussy one wanted to get back inside and dry off. Looks like we've got a ways to go to see what happens next unless we start getting some transfer over the mountains with some fetch off the coast.
  15. Moderate snow in Chevy Chase. Taking the dogs out while I have a chance in case this is the best we get. Fingers crossed that this new GFS9(/revelation) is right!
  16. Actually never heard of that. You got a link?
  17. Damn it says there are 'no runs available'...What do you use to see it?
  18. Light snow here. Radar still showing near yellows. Really haven't seen it snow much heavier than this all winter save for an hour or two during the first one.
  19. Wait what? They still run the old one? What am I looking at when I go to Tropical Tidbits?
  20. Yep we're eating toward dew points already. I will say that this stuff is barely even showing up in my window so we might still have some juice in the tank.
  21. About ten drops and two flakes outside. Yellows on radar. I think I've moved into a veritable snowhole.
