This happened on both of our cars this year. With both it was only 2 or 3 days until the snows were going on and things looked fine so I assumed it was the cold.
True but picture shows no sign of accident and if the officer is at the scene taking photos, they should be of the scene not the cruiser.
In fairness, it is probably just an old photo they had laying around.
If the roads are bad and there is black ice: 1. cruiser should not be there as it could be hit 2. cruiser lights mean people brake which leads to skids.
19 f here, it looks like that was also the low. Snow is pretty much all gone on the ground but remains on some shrubs and plants and on the trees. (The reverse from usual due to the warm ground) It makes the shrubs look like they are blooming with white flowers.

It is too soon. North trends happen two days before and the day of the event and always on the Canadian. South trends occur 3 days before and the eve of the strom.
