  1. But just a few days ago you said: ”anyone thinking next week is going to somehow be cool is sorely mistaken” I took note of it because I said this week would feature cool days. So did I win the chicken dinner or did you ?
  2. When I pointed this out yesterday, I kind of got smacked down. Just sayin
  3. Today has the feel of a hot summer morning. Very weird
  4. Will this week feature that “cooler then expected during a warm spell” because the temp is not going to swing more than 5 degrees that we have become famous for? Looks like humid and round the clock 60s? An xmas eve special :/
  5. Ironically, our humidity that’s coming with the warming is working again the extreme temperatures.
  6. 54F Glorious. Water rather warm still
  7. Where did I mention September? I’m talking about the posters calling off winter two days into January. “No snow this December” as the turkey is cooling off. Frankly, after years of being on this forum, the technology isn’t there to predict whether or temperature trends three weeks out…and anyone that posts gospel based on weeklies is sensationalist or ill-informed. Dont call off October on 10/1 based on weeklies that can and will change tomorrow
  8. Little early to throw in the towel on October guys. What is it 9 hours old? Might I add, with glee, that forecasts of extreme warmth through a colder month on this sub forum have been notoriously wrong and usually covered up with “the weeklies changed overnight” posts. 54F at 9am. 47F in SLC at 7 am✈️
  9. Absolutely disgusting. Only thing worse would be that drought out west
  10. 56F this morning. Chilly, but warm wind signals change.
  11. Its insanity. Every rain storm does damage to my property. Limbs down, small mudslides, leaves everywhere. I redid my patio in the spring and its already a mess.
  12. 54F Starting to notice the first colors on the trees in Westchester this morning Crisp fall morning
  13. Im glad the initial line petered out a bit. Very slow moving. Very ugly if it had more moisture Almost the last time we had a cold front moves so slow? That thing covered 100 miles all day long
  14. “However, for a record 2nd consecutive day, the temperature at New York City's Central Park failed to reach 80° when all of the following cities reached 80° or above: Bridgeport, Islip, New Haven, New York City-JFK, and New YorkCity-LGA.” All those stations are east. Hearing reports of sun to the east. I live along the Hudson in line with CPK and we didnt have a drop of sun all day. Also never hit 80
  15. Yeah but it’s never really going away because this is the new normal. Extended warm wet sectors. Like 55 and humid xmas week…
  16. So what? It is 9/23. What is that+5? The real story of these past few days hasn’t been extreme warmth…It is extreme humidity and very warm overnight lows because of that humidity. If it was September 23 and you were looking at 80° with historically normal humidity you would say it was a pleasantly mild day. Instead you’re getting swarmed by mosquitoes as you walk through soup
  17. Its not that warm. Just disgustingly humid. Glad the sun isnt out!
  18. At this point watching these Temp/Dewpoint deviations is like watching a rain/snow line for a cutter. We know what is going to happen before it starts It took a couple of decades to say this, but this is your new September weather: a slightly cooler August We are no longer transitioning to a new climate…We are in a new climate in the NYC area
  19. Any chance to start adding HPN or SWF to this list?
